A young woman walking her dog, made no attempt to pick up after it shit right in the middle of the pavement. I stopped her and offered her a bag, she said "nah, you're alright", I said "well you aren't, you have to pick that up or i will phone the police" "go on then" She is lucky i didn't rub her nose in it!!! I called her all the festering bitches under the sun - but i get the feeling she just "wernt bovvard" Grrrrrrrrrrrr it makes me want to EXPLODE, the cheek of the bitch - i actually did grab her arm and try and walk her back, but thought bettter of it, didn't want to end up on an assault charge - I am SICK SICK SICK, of the filthy looks I get when i walk my dog, which i always pick up after, because of filthy bastards like this...

"I called her all the festering bitches under the sun"

Officially my favourite line ever on Mumsnet.

lilacclaire · 04/04/2009 20:24

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 20:31

never thought about using my phone laurie...marvellous idea.

chequersmate · 04/04/2009 20:31

Oh, I agree about the dog poo, btw.

I always pick up after my dog, yesterday as I was picking up after her I picked up some other dog's poo as well (blurgh! don't know why that makes me feel more queasy but it does). It was right next to the dog bin, fgs how hard would it have been for them to clear up.

RubyBlueberry · 04/04/2009 20:36

thelionmummy - - hmmm... did you ever think of picking it up (in bag obviously) and throwing it at her and her dog? I think I'd be tempted!!!

thelionmummy · 04/04/2009 20:43

I was tempted ruby, very tempted - but i would have looked a COMPLETE fruit loop then

YANBU and I'm not surprise you're angry. It's bloody horrible to leave your dog poo around.
My son plays in a sat football league. The pitch is in the middle of the recreation ground.
We went to play today and sure enough the pitch is covered in crap!
A father picked up as much as he could, but the minute we got in the car, all we could smell was poo!

People like that should be banned from having dogs!

DSMaryMagdalene · 04/04/2009 20:46

'I called her all the festering bitches under the sun'
'the bitch'
'i actually did grab her arm'

Are you serious?

HotCrossGoober · 04/04/2009 20:47

When I was a kid there was one of those white dog shits on a path near our house. It had been there for weeks. Somebody spray painted it silver. Twas quite a sight.

Anyhoo, YABU. Too angry.

lou33 · 04/04/2009 20:49

there used to be a man who walked a pack of greyhounds past my house daily, and always let them stop and shit outside mine, without picking it up

one day when i was coming back i caugth him letting them do it again, and as he walked off i shouted "excuse me i think you dropped something".

he turned round and then i yelled "you left your dog shit outside my house"

he told me to piss off so i went to his house, and spoke to his wife or partner

It didnt happen again, she was not amused at his behaviour

everGreensleeves · 04/04/2009 20:50

YANBU, the slovenly selfish bitch. Dog shit is dangerous as well as disgusting

moomaa · 04/04/2009 20:53

YANBU it's disgusting and good for you for saying what most people just think. If you ring/email our council about it they will come and clean the street names you report and if you report what time an owner normally walks their dog and where the dog warden will lurk waiting for them.

PurplePillow · 04/04/2009 20:53

Even my 9yo picks up the poo when she walks our dog round our cul-de-sac and park

thelionmummy · 04/04/2009 20:58

Absolutely DSMary! Dirty cow - my DD and i were waiting for a bus, she was riding up and down on her scooter, i had to stop her. . Can't pick up dog shit - shouldnt have a dog.

you should have made a citizens arrest. Always want to go and rub the stuff into the carpets of the owners.

stoppinattwo · 04/04/2009 21:06

i remember the neighbours little boy trying to write his name on the road with white dog poo

lou222 · 04/04/2009 21:12

you def did the right thing and can't believe some people on here think not
why should she get away with letting her dog shit where it likes for children to walk in
.please throw it at her next time

DSM · 04/04/2009 21:14

I really, really think that giving people abuse in the street, and grabbing them, is well out of order.

Seriously.

Ripeberry · 04/04/2009 21:16

lou 33, you should have shovelled all the poo up and put it on his doorstep!
Our neighbour has 4 dogs and she never takes them for walks, just lets them run around madly for half an hour (got a large enclosed green near the houses) but she never picks up after them.
For some reason they like to come and mess in my front garden

Biscuits4cheese · 04/04/2009 21:17

Dog shit is foul, agree with your sentiment but had i been there i imagine i'd have been more disgusted at your public torrent of festering bitches to be honest.

lou33 · 04/04/2009 21:18

she made him come and clean it up
