I posted something about the hierarchy of single parenthood. I posted that widows were at the top, divorcees in the middle and young mums at the bottom.

I stupidly (and I admit that this was stupid) said that I would prefer to be a widow than to be in the shoes I am in right now (being a single mum whose children's dad has threatened to abduct them, threatened to take ME to court for removing them from the UK, has refused to give me any money for them (still doesn't)...

so you see it was the sort of thing if I'd said to a close friend they would have understood the context of my feelings. But people on mumsnet just crucified me, and I tried to defend myself which wasn't ON!!!

I wouldn't risk posting anything so controversial again. ONLY retiredgoth2 said, there is something in what she says but............. and then he had a pop at me too!!
