OMG! That's appalling!
What a bully!
YANBU I wouldn't talk to her again

ForeverOptimistic · 14/03/2009 20:08

YANBU!

TheArmadillo · 14/03/2009 20:10

YANBU

That is appalling behaviour.

Glad the majority of you refused to sign it.

And to do it in front of the mother is unbelievable.

I would make sure the mother of the child having problems knows she has your support adn the support of the majority of the others.

flimflammum · 14/03/2009 20:10

A petition?! In front of the little girl and mother? YANBU.
Maybe you could offer some words of support to the mother of the girl with problems, so she doesn't feel like everyone hates her.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/03/2009 20:11

That's awful

She needs to be told her behaviour is appalling.

FranSanDisco · 14/03/2009 20:12

YANBU. She sounds a loon.

nickytwotimes · 14/03/2009 20:13

oopsagain · 14/03/2009 20:14

that is shockingly horrible!! I am truly appalled. I mean... petition for extreme violence surely but a 3 year old???????? NO NO NO NO NO. And to do it in that cruel public way is just sadistic. I would blank that mother totally I mean really you couldnt trust someone with that little amount of human feeling and compassion and common sense could you??????

Please tell the Mother of the child who is being petitioned against that we are all on her side and she is NOT a bad parent. I am not saying there is but maybe the little girl has some sort of SN anyway. It is a possibility. Either way its just awful. The parents arent burying their heads in the sand, they are trying to fix the problem. I am seriously appalled!

Ohforfoxsake · 14/03/2009 20:18

My DS1 was also a biter, and it was awful. But it did pass, and everyone was very understanding. The poor girl and her parents don't need to be persecuted for a phase. And that is most probably all it is.

Guarenteed it will come back and bite her in her nasty arse when her little darling goes through it.

HumphreyCobbler · 14/03/2009 20:19

I feel sorry for the mad woman's daughter too, imagine being brought up by someone as mean as that

OrmIrian · 14/03/2009 20:19

Cow! I hope her little angel develops some nasty personal habit for a time.

hereidrawtheline · 14/03/2009 20:20

for what its worth my DS has SN and sometimes is not nice around other children. And sometimes that would be the understatement of the century. And I can be mortified. But if this happened... I would burn with fury and humiliation on behalf of him. I would be truly gutted. I am outraged on behalf of this poor woman.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 14/03/2009 20:21

Think something needs to be mentioned to the nursery staff so they "know what their dealing with" in relation to the other mother. (and that many have refused to sign!!)

tbh if she feels that strongly she can always withdraw her pfb dd. But she may find that the grass is not always greener and it could be her dd at fault next time!!!

Oh and good on you dilemma for the choloclate cake, she'll need more support not castigation.

at the witch

Kimi · 14/03/2009 20:24

I think you should get up a petition to ban this mad mother.

If she did this to my child I would smack her to the middle of next week, vile woman

HerBeatitudeLittleBella · 14/03/2009 20:24

Unbelievable behaviour in a grown woman. Call me childish but I'd be tempted to tell her I'd just signed a petition about her.

What a cow

MinkyBorage · 14/03/2009 20:25

what an absolute bitch, she sounds completely poisonous. However, whilst of course yanbu not wanting to talk to her again, perhaps it would be an idea to go a bit further than that and actually tell her how appalled you are that someone could do this. Also, it may be an idea to mention to the nursery how toxic you find this and you hope that they will explain how inappropriate it is. Absolute cow.
My dd was a pincher for a while, it lasted a couple of months, but it is unimaginable now, she is the sweetest, most sensitive gentle funny little girl you could imagine, I would have been mortified and absolutely furious if someone had done something like this to her.

don't sink to her level but on the other hand def not a person you would want in your life as a friend !!!

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 14/03/2009 20:33

at your note.

You couldn't, of course, but it's tempting. What a cow.

vis · 14/03/2009 20:34

tempting tempting but as i suspect you won't do that....must make sure the nursery is fully aware and you contiue your empathetic support...it sounds like there are more savy mums that nut job mums in your nursery
