To think that a bumper sticker saying '100% bitch' is tacky, inappropriate and baaaaad!

Or is a woman's car her castle??

MitchyInge - I've told you before, that Land Rover will let you down again and break your heart.

PortBlacksandResident · 05/03/2009 13:24

Northern - Barbie can't bend her legs enough to do anything. Prob another good reason not to want to be her .

HecatesTwopenceworth · 05/03/2009 13:30

barbie!

Wizzska · 05/03/2009 13:37

Giveusabreak, I thought Goldigga was a ahem...'designer' label like Bench or something.

GrimmaTheNome · 05/03/2009 13:44

100% bitch would be OK if the car owner was dog breeder who always used stud dogs.

The fishes annoy me because they fuel my DHs prediliction for using the word 'Christian' as a general alternative for 'idiot'... I can't object if they've got one of those on their car.

The Darwin fishes are quite funny (you know, the ones that have evolved little legs) but apparently sporting one is an invitation to vandalism.

Rollmops · 05/03/2009 13:47

"LOL one of the mums at preschool has "Goldigga" on the back of her parka. "
Utter vulgarity. And most likely absolute truth....

Rollmops · 05/03/2009 13:50

"I thought Goldigga was a ahem...'designer' label like Bench or something. "
Designer label for Bench is an oxymoron.

Madmentalbint · 05/03/2009 13:50

When I was a teen someone told me those fish stickers were for gay people to identify eachother. I used to see all these sweet old couples driving about together with their fish stickers and be >>

I wont tell you how many years it was before I realised it wasn't true

solidgoldbrass · 05/03/2009 14:29

PMSL at MMB, what a lovely thought.

unavailable · 05/03/2009 15:16

I saw a new one (well, one I havent seen before) today.

"Yummy mummy on board"

Looking at the driver, my first thought was "Oh, perhaps its not her car."

Its just an open invite to have random stangers judge you. What was she thinking?

Northernlurker · 05/03/2009 18:22

There's obviously some element of the thought process of the sticker owner that's eluding us. I mean - they go to Halfords and what do they think 'Right I need some screen wash, a new bulb for the right hand indicator and a sticker that will enable total strangers to think the worst of me'

charitygirl · 05/03/2009 18:26

The 'fish' ones drive me mad - oooh these Christians with their secret symbols to fool the Romans.

JazzHands · 05/03/2009 18:38

Goldigga is a label.

I made a similar bungle when I met a friends DH and he was wearing a top with "duffer" written on it.

I said "why are you advertising that you are an old duffer?".

As they are a rather humourless couple I just got a very very nasty look

-like the woman I saw recently with a "Babe on Board" sign in her car . I can only presume it referred to Babe the pig.

mummyloveslucy · 05/03/2009 18:50

I once saw one that said ex husband in boot.
Although it's extreamly tacky, it did make me smile.

mummyloveslucy · 05/03/2009 18:53

We were at an end of year prize giving at an all girls private convent school and one of the dads was wearing a huge silver belt with BITCH on it in big letters. I think it caused quite a stir !!
I don't know what he was thinking of.

supergluebum · 05/03/2009 18:54

Yuk, Yukky, Yuk. LOL at SGB!
I also hate children's clothes with tacky slogans on. Not of the cheeky monkey variety, but I bought a t-shirt for DS (by accident in a supermarket sweep type shopping incident) and took it back when I realised it said "my attitute, your problem".
I also hate anything with pseudo french sayings. As a french speaker they never make any sense!

Tidey · 05/03/2009 18:57

Incredibly tacky, I agree. But I don't like slogans on anything really. In about 1995 there was a craze on t-shirts with 'Babe' etc written on them, and I've always considered them to be utterly naff.

It also reminds me of those stickers people used to have across the top of the windscreen with their names on them, like DARREN + STACY or whatever. I suppose now the done thing would be to have BITCH + ARSE or something.

Northernlurker · 05/03/2009 19:51

'My other car is a ' is another pet hate.

You just want to rip it off and say 'No it isn't you sad, sad soul!'

OP posts:
browntrout · 05/03/2009 20:04

ok so on the whole i hate them. but i did see 4 young lads driving a knackered old car with the sticker;

'how's my driving?
call 0800 FUCK U'

which for some facile and juvenile reason made me laugh quite a lot. i may have been pregnant (but i dont think i was )

PollyFilla · 05/03/2009 20:08

There's a car near me with "this car is powered by fairydust" on a pink sticker on the back.

There is a GROWN woman driving it fgs.

StealthPolarBear · 05/03/2009 20:09

I would like a nice polite sticker for my back windscreen that says:

"I know I am being a bit neurotic but I had a crash because of some idiot tailgating me when my baby was 5 weeks old, which ended up in A&E. Now we're all fine, but I'm understandably nervous when someone drives far too close so please could you drop back, just a bit, or get your act together and overtake me at 50 in this 30 zone, which is what you'd like to do I know. Thank you. Bye."

But I fear by the time they've taken in all that they'll have hit me

The only ones that annoy me are those farking fish shapes. You know, the ones that indicate 'I am a born again gullible twat and I drive like sh*t because my imaginary friend will protect me'."

I have a very tasteful FSM, does that count?

sassy · 05/03/2009 20:19

There is a car near here with the licence plate B 1 T C H. Nice.

(It's a very understated gold beamer. Not tacky in the least )

Northernlurker · 05/03/2009 20:28

SPB - can you not get that one in the NCT catalogue?
