My childrens school is over 2 miles from our house, we have to drive as Ds1 and Dd1 both have cerebral palsy and can't walk that far. We had more snow last night, and none of the roads on the estate have been gritted so now we have sheets of ice under snow!! The school is attempting to open, but if teachers can't get in, they will close and notices will be put on the gate. I am not willing to risk our lives to get all the way there to be told that its closed TBH.

On Monday, DS sat on his sledge and I pulled it through the snow!

But that's when it was fluffy and soft - not this icy, lumpy stuff.

Riven PLEASE be careful out with sticks. In November DS was using crutches on a damp pavement, his crutch slipped away from him...and he broke his ankle.

They should make clip on attachments to fit on the ends of sticks, crutches and zimmers - little spiky crampons.
