...to wonder how Brad & Angelina can wander through Tokyo airport with 6 under 10 all co-ordinating in neutral tones without a speck of vomit, wee or tantrum in sight?

Just saw the pic whilst getting my haircut, then spent the whole hour pondering.

The entire family were in black/charcoal and looked as if they'd just come off a catwalk(even the Baby Born carriers were vomit free and co-ordinating).

All 6 babies/kids were looking serene, actually m&d were too, nobody was haring after lost kids or looking for a loo, nobody was screeching.

How can this be? Before you say money and nannies,no nannies were in the pic and all the money in the world wouldn't ensure dp and I looked that serene, clean and co-ordinated after a mere 4 hour car trip to the ferry with our 3.

They'd just got off a long haul flight, how can this be,how???????????

i think before they had the twins brads family helped out a lot

bundle · 09/02/2009 10:13

kids have nanny each
Club Class (if not private jet)
they are rainbow family, not like other families

idobelieveinfairies · 09/02/2009 10:16

You know sometimes it isn't as hectic as you think with a lot of children!

However i am not swinging from celings and running around with guns in the jungle!

TheCrackFox · 09/02/2009 10:32

It said in said in Closer (so it most be true ) that they have 4 nannies.

They all looked good because it was a private jet/ entire first class all to themselves, brand new clothes, make up artist for Brad and Ange.

There is no crime in having a nanny (if I had their money I would have 6 nannies) but it pisses me off their constant need to deny they have help.

I've flown with five and that included twin babies across the Atlantic. When you arrive you tend to b e shell shocked and tired so children don't play up that much. Ofte you've just shaken them awake so they tend to be holding your hand and being quiet. Doesn't mean the flight was calm.
If you're in the public eye you have to take a bit of time to get looking straight before you arrive on public view, that's all. We could all do it if we could be bothered.

thisisyesterday · 09/02/2009 11:07

not sure what the colour of their outfits has to do with it??? lol

I would imagine that the children know full well that when they're in somewhere like that, with ppl taking photos and stuff that they HAVE to stay close to mum and dad.
bear in mind they prob travel quite frequently too and are used to it.

it isn't brad and ange's fault they have well-behaved children is it?

almeida · 09/02/2009 11:08

Lots of help - but the BabyBjorn wasn't on right

georgimama · 09/02/2009 11:08

There is a stray stockinged leg in one shot which does not belong to AJ, I presume the woman is partly standing behind Brad (or airbrushed out [conspiracy emoticon]) and that's why she can't be seen.

Defintely kids in cattle class, nannies with them.

almeida · 09/02/2009 11:09

Remember when BSpears was lambasted for having a carseat strap twisted?

SoupDragon · 09/02/2009 11:10

"We could all do it if we could be bothered. "

No, we could all do it had we just flown first class and not been herded off the plane like cattle.

almeida · 09/02/2009 11:12

Who wears sunglasses in an airport in rl with so many kids to check on?

SoupDragon · 09/02/2009 11:23

Someone needs to educate them on the joys of a better sling than the ones they're using.

Eve4Walle · 09/02/2009 11:24

Why do they appear to be so well behaved though? In every single picture? Odd if you ask me.

SoupDragon · 09/02/2009 11:24

And I notice that the slings do not coordinate. Shocking lapse of style IMO.

almeida · 09/02/2009 11:30

sd - if Ange put it one right her little one would be more comfortable.

DivamakesKimchi · 09/02/2009 11:36

i read that they have 6 nannies. they went from france to us with four due to jet size, once they in us they could not cope with four of them, two nannies flown over as emergency. it was whem they went brad housing opening.

Monkeygi · 09/02/2009 11:43

Bribery. 'If you behave nicely while we have our photos taken Mommy and Daddy won't make you wear yukky co-ordinating outfits for a whole day. And you can have chicken nuggets for tea.'
Plus their flight probably arrived four hours earlier than they admitted, thus enabling them to book into the 'Celebrity Arrivals Lounge' in their trackies, emerging as the Stepford family we see before us.

Divineintervention · 09/02/2009 11:53

Hang on a minute, there's no interaction shown either....I am sure I have moments when I travel (alone) with my three under six and my four under seven (this year) when I look stress free, and without any vomit. In fact I'm on text book parenting behaviour, (the one where people can hear you!!) and my children are so excited about arriving wherever that they're very well behaved. The change of clothes just before we land ensures that they are very clean.... and it's always long haul and usually economy.

lazymumofteenagesons · 09/02/2009 12:08

Private jet with proper beds, showers etc etc. Masses of nannies. multiple changes of clothes. no sign of a single bag being carried by kids or parents. Luggage dealt with and probably unpacked and put away in hotel waiting for their arrival.

Children aside. I've got off a long haul flight wearing a t-shirt covered in red wine which DH kindly spilt over me about an hour into the flight!

SoupDragon · 09/02/2009 12:13

No, almeida, even worn correctly there are far better slings for the baby, the carrier and style purposes than the BabyBjorn.

MilaMae · 09/02/2009 12:46

Frida I did laugh at the "trailer trash pink tat clothes"-have always wondered how Ms Pitt gets her little girls into charcoal and black on a reg basis.

The multicoloured concoctions my dd 4 throws together would make her weep I'm sure

"i think before they had the twins brads family helped out a lot "

Really?

Where do they live, Albert Square?

"Mum, can you just have the four kids for a bit while I make a blockbuster movie?"

"Yes of course love. That's no problem. They'll be no trouble."

"They've all just gone daaaaaan. See you later when I get back from the Vic Hollywood."

Actually, wasn't there a thread on here a couple of years ago: "AIBU to be pissed off that my multi-millionnaire moviestar brother/son/whatever is too tight to hire a nanny and expects me to look after his child AND his girlfriend's three kids as well?"

Gimme strength.

francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 13:01

Of course they have nannies. Actually, have you noticed, nannies are rarely featured in celebrities "going out as a family" pics. I think they (celebrities in general) want to sell this myth of "perfect families".
