To hate the fact that parents think a 'fruit shoot' is a healthy drink for a 1 yr old?

My BIL is always shoving these horrible drinks down his children's necks. I wont let my DD of 15 months near one!

because it may have been produced in a factory where nuts have been handled

Was on a bus on Saturday with non-mother friends, and saw a baby swigging out of a bottle of Froot-shoot. Was about to make a mumsnettish, oh so smug comment to the girls, when it occurred to me that as they don't have children and have never heard of mumsnet, they would judge me almost as harshly as they did when the bus jerked and I said, (a la Derek Jacobi) 'What a bumpy ride!'.

Live and let live. It's up to your BIL what he gives to his children.

I think honestly, life is too short to worry about this sort of thing.

Honestly..it's just a drink. You might not like it but they aren't feeding her poison.

the whole fruit shoot greggs thing is nonsense, imo, my dc's have both of those things, oh and they have mcdonalds and potnoodles

I have tried fruit shoot and you are right, it does taste awful - I used to hate it when I was younger, all the "kids" drinks have this sickly, chemical taste I never liked.

However Tropicana Go isn't much better. Granted it doesn't taste chemically but my little brother and sister left some behind the other day (according to the label it is grape, orange and pear juice) - what a weird combination of flavours. Anyway I stuck it in my changing bag in case I got thirsty while out, forgot about it for a week or so, and when I went to drink it it had fermented and gone all fizzy!
