There are exceptions, I'm sure, but really - how many times can we all say to each other, "jeez, how terrible. I feel so sorry for that poor child, how could a mother/father/grandparent do that?"

These stories make me so STRESSED....

And even the act of hiding the thread means you have had to read the headline of the post...

Sorry Mama, didn't mean to set off your latent fear of bunnies

Well, I am enlightened, and confess I have never stuck around long enough to see how constructive some of these threads turn out to be - that is pretty amazing about baby P, and I admire anyone who can look at it head on, get around the horror of it and then get constructive.

No, no-one said I was thick directly, but sometimes the tone of the post seems to suggest they picture you as some simpering old hausfrau who can't step outside their front door...which is certainly not I.

Don't lie you are really wimpering at the thought of leaving that door aren't you? I can hear your zimmer shaking LOL.

Most people tend to think I'm a 5YO sticking my tongue out making weird noises on here I think... LMFAO.

Sycamoretree · 24/01/2009 12:12

Someone just put a pizza leaflet through the door and there is now a great bit hole in my dining room ceiling now where I jumped up out of my seat...

I nearly didn't post this AIBU - nearly posted in other topics but as I genuinely wanted to know, I thought I'd brave it.

Actually, I don't think it has gone too badly. All limbs still attached to body - no permanent scars on face.

Now, DS is nuzzling far too much - clearly I have been on here too long. Am off to fulfil perfect mother duties.

i follow news daily, read 3 broadsheets.news is really important to me.it defines and describes our internal and external view of world

i recall 7/7,21/7,9/11 because i worked in London and boyfriend travelled from Russell sq daily to mtg.we were all really scared at work, news coverage was vital

we are lucky to live in reasonable uncensored liberal society were one ban watch tv,read newspapers and post internet without fear from state intervention.we shouldn't take for granted this freedom

a Scottish minister and his wife recently got jail sentence for making derogatory comments about ghanian leader in an email

ScottishMummy · 24/01/2009 17:56

my error it was in fact Gambia that the scottish minister was jailed for sending derogatory email about government

theresonlyme · 24/01/2009 17:57

I can't read about the abuse stories.

Too close to home.

Doesn't mean I pretend it doesn't happen or I don't care about the children being abused.

Reading the thread will have no impact on them or society to make it stop but it will have an inpact on me and my children.

Just my two pennies worth.
