To think that it is not acceptable to steal under any circumstances?

Recently when I visited a friend of mine he had a very nice, expensive looking clock on his wall. He told me that he had stolen it when drunk - it had been delivered to a shop but was outside in its packaging. I thought this was truly awful but because he was drunk he seems to think that reduces the whole thing to a joke.

He went on to say 'well it's ok to steal to protect your family' er, no it isn't!!

god, a goat would really mess up your bedroom and you would never eat goat's cheese again.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:41

Yes, Bubba, you know all about rudeness. Your question is therefore rhetorical.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:42

and a goat would be difficult to hide, too.

i mean, you can't hang it on your wall or add it to your stemware collection.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:43

then there's that goat smell, too.

far worse than dogs. even great danes.

Mimia · 16/01/2009 15:44

Make a tasty stew though.

SheherazadetheGoat · 16/01/2009 15:44

exactly expat stick with the cat.

our cat is always thieving my bedside water and taking my seat on the sofa, no morals cats.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:45

and a stew is a great way to hide the evidence. unless you fed it to your friends and then informed them they were ingesting stolen goods.

now there's a dilemma, like realising halfway through eating a hamburger than you've eaten meat on a Friday in Lent.

what do you do? continue to eat it so it won't be wasted or throw it away and be wasteful?

Bubbaluv · 16/01/2009 15:46

MiMia, If you're rude to people as Expat was, then you can hardly expect them to be nice to you! I came "down of my moral high horse" and gave as good as I got. And surely you could detect a note of sarcasam there? The POINT was that just because some things are horrific, doesn't mean that the less dramatic wrongs in the world are to be ignored or are unimportant. Expat pretty much implied that theft is not rape and is therefore not something she sees as a problem.

SheherazadetheGoat · 16/01/2009 15:47

my bil once gave us a lovely salmon he had confiscated from a poacher - yum yum.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:47

our cat is a serial killer, goat. she's such the psychopath she's even branched into trophy killing, bringing her victims into the house in order to mutilate, dismember and eat them.

it's shocking.

Mimia · 16/01/2009 15:47

Do you think penguins make good stew?

Bubbaluv · 16/01/2009 15:47

Expat, you really are a bully.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:48

now, now, goat, that salmon was probably full of the bad karma that are sealice!

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:49

now, now, goat, that salmon was probably full of the bad karma that are sealice!

Tamarto · 16/01/2009 15:49
Hmm
Tamarto · 16/01/2009 15:49

That pic looks like a baddie from He-Man

Mimia · 16/01/2009 15:50

Oh yes, I forgot that two wrongs make a right. I'm also perfectly capable of reading a thread and forming my own opinion so thanks for the summary but I did perfectly well without. As for the heads up about sarcasm, and then for spelling it out with your POINT in capitals should I miss it a second time. Shock horror I just don't agree with you. But then I am penguin thieving scum.

SheherazadetheGoat · 16/01/2009 15:50

no sealice it was wild.

[boaks at sealice]

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:51

penquin stew.

ask hugh fearlessly-eatsitall.

bet he's made stew out of penquins he foraged whilst walking through the woods of Antarctica.

Mimia · 16/01/2009 15:52

Lol I think I might prefer to call it penquin stew, it sounds much posher, especially if Hugh is the inspiration

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 15:53

oops! lol, mimia!

Bubbaluv · 16/01/2009 15:56

Wow, I haven't come across this type of ganing-up bitchy behaviour since high school.

Mimia · 16/01/2009 16:01

Why on earth is it ganging up bitchy behaviour? Expat doesn't know me! I shall repeat I just didn't agree with your comment.

expatinscotland · 16/01/2009 16:07

I don't know Mimia. She's probably one of those trolls namechangers .

Mimia · 16/01/2009 16:09

Maybe
