dh to come home with a love bite n say its a flea bite the dog is on holiday

my dh came home with what looked like a love bite on the side of his neck, i did ask him what it was and he said it was a flea bite, i don't know what to think because our dog has been on holiday for the past 6 weeks. he has been going out a lot more than usual and he says it's just work drinks.

oldlady is right about the fleas, in fact you are more likely to be bitten yourselves with your dog away. They can live and breed in your carpets/soft furnishings/dogs bed etc and jump on and off doggie to feed. When doggie is not there they come out and feed on you. If you do not treat your dog with frontline and he/she has fleas you may have a bigger problem than you think.
Oh but love bite looking like a flea bite? mmmm very unlikely . You can burst the little blood vessels under your skin by scratching +++ but I still don't think it would look much like a flea bite.
By the way very very important to worm and flea treat all pets with proper stuff from vets as supermarket products don't work.
