to freak out because I just found out that my (male) best friend from school regularly shagged my boyfriend at the time?

OK this is YEARS ago, I know,

Thanks to the wonders of facebook I've just caught up with one of my best mates from school, having not spoken to him for 15 years..

I knew he came out after school but had no idea he was at the time (was always trying to set him up with friends of mine - doh)

We've just had a long catch up conversation during which he told me he and my ex used to regularly shag in their early teens (all boys prep/boarding school) finished long before me (I joined in the 6th form) but he never bloody told me..

He always hated him too, now I understand why..

Feel like a complete fecking idiot! Euukk

Not all gay men engage in actual anal penetration. But some heterosexual couples do.

nooka · 15/12/2008 23:36

I don't understand the yuk. It was 15 years ago fgs! Why should it matter, and why should you have expected either of them to tell you? It sounds like something they regretted, not something to chat about, also bearing in mind that they may well both have felt that you would not have reacted well.

It's not as if the shagging was going on whilst you were together. If you are fifteen years down the line healthy, then I can't see why you should be worried. Presumably you used protection? If they were in their early teens then it is unlikely that either of them were carrying anything to infect each other, unless they were also sleeping with older people.

I would feel a bit sad for them that they were so precocious (early teens to me means 12/13).

Not using condoms increases the risk of stds not being bisexual... HIV is just as common in straight people these days. Op I wouldn't worry it was so long ago, maybe your ex was embarrassed so kept quiet?

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 15/06/2012 11:46

Both Hun and Hunni in the same thread ???!!

fedupofnamechanging · 15/06/2012 11:50

This thread dates from 2008

Iheartpasties · 15/06/2012 11:53

yes zombie thread!

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 15/06/2012 11:57

Why does it matter? It's no different than if he'd slept with a female friend.

What's with the homophobic posts btw? I'm bisexual and my DP has had MMF three-way. Neither of us have HIV thanks. Hmm

I thought they were both in their early teens? If not there are far more serious issues to address than 'eww how icky he touched a man EWWW Angry'

Sounds like you need more information?

TheCunningStunt · 15/06/2012 12:11

Creepy zombie thread

DameHermione · 15/06/2012 12:11

Glitch in the space time continuum.

ComposHat · 15/06/2012 12:46

Hun..

The only acceptable use of the word 'hun' is a derogatory nickname for supporters of Glasgow 'we don't do walking away, apart from tax bills' Rangers

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 15/06/2012 13:01

It's Pinkie's fault. Everyone stare at her.

lattelov3r · 15/06/2012 13:09

I dont have any problem with gay relationships and have very good friends who are gay but i would definatly feel a bit funny if i found out a man id had sex with had been with a man before me no logical reason for it but i would and i couldnt knowingly be in a relationship with a bi man on the other hand it was a looong time ago op so dont let it bother you

BIWItheBold · 15/06/2012 13:11

Why dig such an old thread up? Hmm

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 15/06/2012 13:13

Well people sometimes come across them googling and the like...or they do a search for a topic they're interested in and dont notice the thread is old. It's perfectly understandable.

Tee2072 · 15/06/2012 13:16
Hmm
Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 13:20

This came up in my active threads?! So I weighed in with my ten cents!! Zombie thread ooooer!

leeloo1 · 15/06/2012 13:59

At the risk of adding to the zombie-thread weirdness...

Surely 'hun' is short for 'Atila the hun', which is an odd endearment. Shouldn't it be 'hon' short for 'honey'.

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 15/06/2012 14:02

Tee who are Hmm ing at?

Hmm
Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 14:29

Tee2072 · 15/06/2012 15:29

The OP, really. Although I'm pretty Hmm at the age of the thread as well!

mayaswell · 15/06/2012 16:03

lisaro · 15/06/2012 16:24

My mate said he never told me at the time cos I was so into him..
Unfortunately - so was he!!
Sort of don't blame your friend for telling you at the time but can see why it freaks you out. Don't let it spoil a friendship, though.
