Anyfucker, thank God you showed up. I love swearing.

laweaselmys · 14/12/2008 18:26

On that note, thecrackfox - your name really creeps me out. I can't help but squirm every time I see it!! (sure you are a lovely non scary person really)

General swearing (ie not AT anybody) is awesome and fine. I guess it must be quite annoying for people with small children that can read - but alas, this is life, and I can cope.

pagwatch · 14/12/2008 18:35

Is anyone else finding it really hard not to post profanity on the thread.
I keep seeing it in active convos and mentally spitting four letter postings...

probably just me

RubberDuck · 14/12/2008 18:40

TBH, given the topics that are discussed on mumsnet, small children that can read should preferably not be within screen distance anyway, imo. Swearing is probably the least of that.

MadamDeathstarOverBethlehem · 14/12/2008 18:44

Quite true RubberDuck. The thread I started about DCat1's Brazilian would distress pet lovers too.

MrsMattie · 14/12/2008 18:46

Do you consider "Arse" to be swearing anyone? It is not real swearing is it?

Ronaldinhio · 14/12/2008 18:57

I rarely use fowl language (had this been done? didn't bother reading)

RustyBear · 14/12/2008 19:09

Surely fowl language should be restricted to the chicken-keepers topic....

OI... I'm a monogamous duck, I'll have you know

GoodWilfToAllMN · 14/12/2008 21:16

AIBU? To ask that MNers who want to use naff Daily Expressesque cliché in their OPs (and whinging responses which only demonstrate their own lack of imagination) to one of the richest forms of expression in our language just fuck right off?

Or not?

VinegarTitsTheSeasonToBeJolly · 14/12/2008 21:18

Oh fucking ell, if we as adults, cant swear and cuss on MN, where it wont be heard, where can we?

Just hide the thread if you dont like, your
eyes are not going to fall out if you see bastard/cunt/twat/fucker in text

ScottishMummy · 14/12/2008 21:42

I don't care if it's general. I think it's not on ol' boy if it's directed at a particular poster. eg, fuck off liffey, not ON. Imho!
