my friend recently moved house, and left my maternity clothes behind in her old house her uncle is now living in.
she is saying its too far to travel too to get me my clothes and that i have to buy them all again.

so now expecting my third and last baby i now have to buy a whole load of new clothes which will get hardly any wear out of them

AIBU to be throughly pee'd off?

I lent all mine and my sister's baby clothes to a friend of a friend, and her husband sent the whole lot to a charity for baby asylum seekers. Poor dsis had nothing for her second baby.

Luckily dsis wasn't too devastated as she approves of baby asylum seekers being clothed, but I was annoyed for her.

hate to say it but I don't lend stuff in case this happens.....

I got caught out once when I lent someone a dining table - they didn't use it - I asked for it back (i had made it clear in the first place that it was a loan to help them out until they could afford one of their own - it was our kitchen table) and after some vague mumblings about it being in the garage they finally admitted they didn't have it anymore! never got to the bottom of what happened although I suspect eBay.

when people ask I just say - oh I didn't buy much anyway and it's all worn out OR with baby clothes -- its all in the loft for the next DS!

if you lent them to her its HER responsibility to get them back to you. send her a text saying you either want the clothes back or the equivalent in cash to buy new!! great friend btw

DaidiNaNollag · 11/12/2008 16:47

can't believe she said you'd probably miscarry! You are well rid!

MamaHobgoblin · 11/12/2008 17:56

My personal theory on this:

The uncle's an elderly tranny. He is wearing 'em.

Seriously though, I bet she ebay'd them, and I think you should vent by telling her how ungrateful and selfish she's been.

Oh, and congratulations!

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 18:25

daidi thank you, i thought so too.
and thanks for the congrats mamahobgoblin!
