AIBU to think that when I ask dh for a specific present he shouldn't buy something completely different?

Dh is worse than useless at buying presents.

He bought me something remarkably like this

Am I missing something - are these two things is any way alike? Or is he missing a few brain cells?

Intersting to see if my DH gets the hint! I sent him an email saying what I would like for Christmas! He did pretty good last year when I sent him an email with 3 watchs on. The one I got wasn't one of the those 3, but was the same make and was actually really nice (I just hadn't seen it!)

I now have an arrangement with the jeweller and she only shows DH things I have already earmarked
