There was a guy in my home ec class, who used a whole bulb of garlic instead of a clove. The teacher got quite a shock when she tasted the finished article.

pipetting by mouth...does that make Madame as old as me? Ah well, that explains it anyway.

you know, I now use almost half a bulb in many of my dishes I love garlic that much.

I am at least safe from vampires!

A engineering student acquaintance was left in charge of a pressure cooker by his mother. It started making the funny noises that pressure cookers make and it scared him. Instead of turning off the heat, he hid in the broom cupboard until it exploded.

My mother once put a nice load of mushroom ketchup into a stew. She had bought it for some special dish and was now trying to use it up. The stew tasted a little strange. She found the nearly full bottle of mushroom ketchup in the cupboard, and the empty bottle of anchovy sauce in the bin.
