DH says he's worried about me and that I should be making arrangments to see friends for coffee etc during the day

I'm just too bloody tired! I had a bit of an epic birth inc an emcs which was a shockola for me

DH means well, he really does, but all I want to do is stay inside, in teh warm, concentrate on feeding DS and not go trailing around to people's houses yet. Iwill do, but I just don't feel up to it yet.

Should I make more of an effort?

Do whatever you feel like doing. I am certainly not the type to whizz around Tescos the day after giving birth. I was probably still very much wanting to nest at home AT LEAST 2 weeks after both of mine. When you feel ready, perhaps a little assisted trip to a favourite haunt with DH might feel ok.

Thanks all - big news, I'm going out today for a walk with DH and DS2, we're going to go to the cafe for hot choc en route

Wish me luck!

Good luck MamaG. Enjoy that hot choc.
(Have you a support belt to wear around your wound / scar? I was told to hold in my tummy when getting up and not too twist to sit or get up. Don't forget to breathe!)

Hope all goes fabulously!
