This seems a strange thing to worry about. Unless the clothes are really dirty, what's the problem? It's not like toddlers sweat...

beanieb · 02/11/2008 19:10

I don't think it's that bad Some people bathe their children everyday, some people bathe them three times a week. If the child hasn't got the shirt particularly messy then why should it matter? Infact even if they have why should it matter?

I used to have a bath with my 2 siblings once a week. I think people wash and clean too much TBH.

bamboostalks · 02/11/2008 19:10

There are worse crimes but amazed that they can manage that long, my dd's is always filthy after 10 mins never mind 72 hours.

MegBusset · 02/11/2008 19:10

I mean of course toddlers sweat but they don't get BO!

scaredoflove · 02/11/2008 19:10

apart from food spillages they don't get that dirty, children don't sweat like adults (they sweat but they don't get BO) So I don't think it's a big deal

I take it you haven't had a child that lived in his superman suit then

roseability · 02/11/2008 19:11

saves on washing. Why don't I do this?!

That is very impressive. My little ones would have covered it in food/mud/paint/all of the above long before 72 hours is up. If your friend's child doesn't I don't see the problem - they don't sweat much at 16mo.

Do you time the cloth changing habits of all your your acquaintances' children? That is quite odd

straycat · 02/11/2008 19:13

good because thats what i do with dd sometimes

if mine didn't get clothes filthy by looking at them I would consider it.

More importantly.... LOCKETS!!!! When did you change back?!?!

BBBee · 02/11/2008 19:14

i think it's fine - save the planet and all that.

kitsmummy · 02/11/2008 19:15

Well I think it is a bit skanky tbh. There's no way a 16 month old could keep their clothes clean that long, yuk

straycat · 02/11/2008 19:15

yeah save the planet quite right!

Bringing up other threads is not great online etiquette, imo.

No idea who this OP is or what else they have posted.

If you've got a problem, report it to MNHQ, and leave it at that.
