to find this kind of...distasteful?

I'm probably being unreasonable, live and let live after all. A dad dropping off his child at dd1's reception class today - large chap, shaved head, wearing cut off tracksuit bottoms with such clear and distinct holes in them that you could see his bottom (at the back, I averted my eyes at the front, too scary) through them, and a similarly stained, holey t-shirt. When i say large chap i mean really large chap. Repeatedly bumped me in the back with his stomach when i was helping DD1 with her coat trying to push by (I am 7 months pregnant, so perhaps taking up more room than I think?) is it just me or that just kind of...well...gross (for lack of a better word!)?
thinking back to all the threads on MN about what to wear for pick up/drop off...

yes ikwym....you can be too bald i think.

Surfermum · 03/10/2008 12:03

No, shaved head doesn't mean someone is rough. Dh is the loveliest, kindest, gentlest bloke you could ever meet and definitely not "rough as burnt toast".

He has a shaved head and that's because most of his hair fell out because of PTSD after terrible experiences and nearly dying in the Falklands War.

Miyazaki · 03/10/2008 12:04

His actual arse, with no pants on, showing through holey trackies?

That is not want I want to see first thing in the morning.

VictorianSqualor · 03/10/2008 12:09

ROFFLE @ this thread.
It's so mumsnet.

Liffey · 03/10/2008 12:09

It's hard to drag your eyes from naked flesh. Yesterday I was in Eddie Rockets and there was a girl, or a female creature, and nine tenths of her large red pendulous breasts were exposed. If she'd been 32A it wouldn't have caught my eye to the same degree.

I was so relieved when they seated us at the back, away from the breasts. I'm having flashbacks.

InvisiblePsychomum · 03/10/2008 12:10

would you have noticed him tho had he not been trying to barge past you???

shaved head, YABVU to comment on. My DH has a shaved head.....well, he is totally bald on top so he shaves the sides otherwise he just looks silly!

holey clothing......DH is a builder, often wears worn out holey clothing, altho he does not have his arse hanging out and I do find that distastful myself, so YABa teeny bit U.

as for the pushing/shoving YANBU at all, but again, maybe that is really the problem, not the clothing/looks etc??

SaintRiven · 03/10/2008 12:19

lol liffey. I have a friend like that. You never know where to put your eyeballs! They sort of get tugged back.
Holey clothing wouldn't bother me. Some of mine is holey or patched. Do people really notice what other parents are wearing?

hifi · 03/10/2008 12:21

ooh, maybe he was trying to slip you one.

elmoandella · 03/10/2008 12:23

haven't read it all. but uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurggh

why the heck was he bumping his big fat belly against you. do you go around bumping you baby bump into everyone you pass.

piratecat · 03/10/2008 12:23

the man should have at least put underpants on.

Swedes · 03/10/2008 18:31

Do you think he would look good in a school run dress?

mrsruffallo · 03/10/2008 18:40

Lol at this thread
Did OP mention earlier that his genital were hanging out? Or just his bum?
