To be quietly satisfied that the arse that parks every day on the yellow zig zags outside school got a partking ticket today?

As did all of the other twats who park on the normal yellow lines opposite the school screwing up the traffic flow for everyone else?

I felt a quiet glow when the traffic wardens were out in force!

I really hope it was that nanny who was posting on here a few days ago that she always parks on the zig zigs and expects her employers to pay for the tickets because they made it her job to drop the kids off.

what used to bug me in ex job, kids went to private schools and nearly ALL cars were 7 seater 4x4, huge landrovers, Q7,volvo big thinggy cars and 99% of them couldnt park them

i have a 7 seater - have 3 kids and need it for taking school friends home etc

Least I CAN park mine

SaintRiven · 24/09/2008 08:32

thats very good of you, spending more on a car so you can accomodate other people's kids. I wouldn't!

imananny · 25/09/2008 16:54

sorry - meant my work car - but tech it IS my car - even my charges call it my car

once they knew no 3 was coming, they sold my nanny car during working hours and got the 7 seater, as couldnt get 3 proper car seats in back of old work car

and not fair that no 1 couldnt have school friends over, and i NEVER put children in the front seat!!!

So yesterday we had a traffic officer standing on the pavement in the morning for the first time. What happened is that people drove up, went onto the pavement on the corner, saw the officer and then drove off and parked further up the road and walked!

But of course, she was not there in the afternoon, and everyone just parked where they liked again, including the woman who parks right up on the pavement on a corner, the whole car, and the one who parks in the playground.

Surely there is no point if they are not getting tickets?

the police wait outside dd1's school now 3pm on the dot they are there. it happens that much.

we walk. not that we have much choice since i dont drive but if i did drive we would still walk.

I think a real deterrent would be random but regular appearances by the police/traffic control and for them to ticket every "offender" every time.
