Does anyone with more than one child, or a child older than say 5 object to the term PFB

I think it's age dependent rather than number-of-dc-dependent to be honest. Once they're over 3 and start developing minds of their own, you start realising you can't control or micro-manage everything about their lives, they will behave in embarrassing/outlandish ways, so will you probably, life is not perfect and nor are they or you or anyone else!!!

The term pfb does crack me up tho . I remember holding my first bub like she was made of fine china, the other 2 were thrung over my shoulder, hanging off my arm or held under my armpit!

God no, first time parents are pretty 'precious' and think they know it all? It takes another child or two to make you realise what an arse you were and laugh at yourself( and hang you head in shame).
First time parents take everything SOOOOOO very seriously!!

and can I just say that I love the fact that I think a majority of people on here didn't just say 'no' they said 'nope' which is altogether more dismissive of the suggestion.

I have 3 children, including a nearly 6 year old and a baby.

I think the term 'PFB syndrome' is patronising and mean. I think people forget how hard it can be when you've got your first baby. People are thrown in a the deep end, they're exhausted and they don't know what to do. I think that more experienced people laughing at first-timers isn't very nice.

I'm most precious with dd3. Was hardly ever precious with the fist two but I got worse. It's why we can't consider a 4th child. I strongly suspect I'd be even more precious with another one.

At least they should admit they are clueless, take advice and stop acting as if their baby is god's gift to the world ( of course all of mine were

am mum of single PFB and also a nope to the term itself;
but do occasionally find some posters a bit sneery and dismissive when they use it, instead of nodding indulgently and giving a useful response anyway.
