i'm starting college/year 12/as year next septemeber and am thinking that i will have to put ds into a nursery (he will be nearly 3 by then)

both my parents work and dp will be at university or studying and athough he says he wouldnt mind looking after ds he cant obv take him to lectures e.t.c

i would be dropping him off at about 8 and picking him up at 3.30

also visiting in some of my free periods

does this sound very unreasonable and shitty? should i make dp watch him...

personally i think that nursery is a good thing cause he willl learn to bond with other children and it will prepare him for school e.t.c

aibu to put him into college at such a young age?

Halia - I dont think i couldnt not pick him up straight away

I hate having to do this i want to play with him all the time

What days are the "quiet days then for nurserys?"

I have booked a tour of the nursery for a couple of weeks

I'm also hoping he will make some friends as most mothers at his current nursery are a bit about me and are a bit snotty about inviting him to play with their dc's.

Infact i've been declined 5 times to have some of them to play maybe i should start an AIBU about that lol.

EC - i'm 20 and i've had many remarks when i've told people i'm a mum.

I went to uni when ds was a few months old. At the time I didn't regret doing it and didn't feel as though I was missing out. The course I chose wasn't the right one for me so I decided to defer my entry for a year or so. So then I started working evenings and became a sort of SAHM. I take ds to loads of different things and I really enjoy it. Even though whilst I was studying I didn't feel as though I was missing out, now I've been a SAHM and taken ds to all these different things I can see that I was missing out and I'm glad I deferred my entry.

Is it possible for you to just go in mornings or afternoons or something?
