To be a bit miffed that just when I decide to start actually posting a bit on Mumsnet instead of just lurking, it suddenly seems much quieter than it used to be.

Is it me, or is it quieter than usual?

OP posts:
snice · 08/09/2008 23:08

Do they not mind having their names across the front of their school jumpers?

zippitippitoes · 08/09/2008 23:09

its cos i was away for the weekend lol

IDoEverything · 08/09/2008 23:10

Hang on - who said anything about names on front of jumpers?

And how come my thread is suddenly about name tags?!?!??!??!!?!?

OP posts:
cornsilk · 08/09/2008 23:10

Of couse they don't mind. They want everyone to know what a clever mummy they have.

S1ur · 08/09/2008 23:11

It is quieter.

It is because those of that know are on route to Mars.

Courageously I stayed behind to fill the breach and ensure no random question about lunchboxes goes unsullied with a quick 'meh'.

cornsilk · 08/09/2008 23:11

My mum used to draw my uniform on me with blue biro. She couldn't sew.

snice · 08/09/2008 23:13

You are now lurking on your own thread IDo-the irony

S1ur · 08/09/2008 23:14

I have just sewn a pirate dress for dd.

But I intend to use a complex batik method for nametags when she starts school

FabioBadAssCat · 08/09/2008 23:15

I have chartered a late night flight to Switzerland.
I have been employed to flick to the switch.
Do NOT tell cod.

IDoEverything · 08/09/2008 23:18

Eeeek Fabio
That sounds better than name tags

OP posts:
S1ur · 08/09/2008 23:18

S1ur · 08/09/2008 23:23

A crap apparantly.

IDoEverything · 08/09/2008 23:23

Who is gonna head up the campaign to not tell Cod?!!?!?

'Do not tell Cod
Do not tell Cod
Do not tell Cod'

.....chanting fades off in favour of laughter at thread about quiteness becoming thread about name tags becoming thread about the end of the world

OP posts:
WilfSell · 08/09/2008 23:24

PS have had no time to read papers, can someone summarise the end of the world on Thursday for me in 3 sentences or fewer please?

IDoEverything · 08/09/2008 23:25

OP posts:
IDoEverything · 08/09/2008 23:25

S1ur · 08/09/2008 23:30

You're already in trouble Wilfy mate.

End of world scheduled for 8.30 Wednesday.

Sum up.......

Clever scientists built big machine under some mountains.
Will shoot particles at each other hoping for collision.
Will record what happens, and will either
a) find answers to universe
b) destory the universe.

Well in for a penny......

cornsilk · 08/09/2008 23:31

The world will turn into green goo, a bit like farty putty. So it's not all bad.
