because it is their management policy not to give rooms to military personnel.

Story is injured soldier from Afghanistan was in UK on sick leave and was visiting another injured soldier. Tried to book a room in this hotel and was turned away because he is in the military.

The **. Please do not book at this hotel and tell your relatives and friends.

Cheshirekitty I've also just come back from the US and while we were at seaworld before one of the shows there was a moment when military personnel serving for the US, and the UK, and other allies were asked to stand and they were applauded by everyone else. As sickly as that sounds it is nice to see that those fighting and laying down their lives do have some respect.

I wonder what people think this country would be like if we didn't have a military.

And why is it not ok to discriminate on the basis of race or sex but ok to discriminate on the basis of profession?

We have had a lot of trouble in our town centre from eastern europeans, weilding baseball bats, fighting and generally being very destructive. If I ran a business in town I might like to ban Easter Europeans on that basis, but somehow if I posted to that effect on here I don't think I'd get the same support as wanting to ban the military. Why is that?
