to not want to share dd's noodle in the swimming pool?

it drives her nuts when someone borrows it. and she does occassionally let some kids play with it. but last time these women came up and demanded to know if she had finished with it and could their son have it. i said no and it was like i had pulled their swimsuits down. piss off an dbuy your own.

they must have thought it belonged to the pool - otherwise they are being totally unreasonable and very rude.

I always assumed that you weren't allowed to bring your own stuff to the pool

maybe she is of that opinion and therefore completely assumes that the pool owns it and thought you were being rude not letting her dc have a turn

also what kind of pool would it have to be??

we have a shite small just plain rectangular pool

butr there is a small amount of noodles in with ther armband box

there are no toys provided. it is just a public pool. it is just the filthy looks that completely pissed me off.

How annoying - people just have no idea do they!

We took DS and DDs diddycars to the park a while back and they left them at the bottom of a grassy bank whilst running around and a family came and took them for their kids to play on - when I said - very nicely 'excuse me those are my children's cars could I please have them back' - they glared and said 'well you shouldn't leave them lying around should you or other kids are going to want to play on them'.

I had had a bad day so forgot to be nice and siad - 'My cars over there too why don't you have as go in that too - train your kids to take things that aren't theirs early!'

Then I ran because we were in a scary part of SE London!

If your dc doesn't like sharing it, do you have to bring it? The other kids probably don't understand that they can't have it and the other parents probably just assumed it was the pool's. I know what it's like though, my ds has real trouble sharing his stuff at the mo' and it can make you feel really mean if you don't share, but then again the others can always bring their own ...

kelix noodle is a polysterene long thingy that you can use as a flotation device. google it they are really good fun.

The probably did think it was the pools but they were still rude because they could have asked you if it belonged to the pool first.

You shouldn't really have to share it around basementbear, its a flotation aid to help swim, you wouldn't expect her to share her armbands or not take them swimming would you? I don't think the point is that the OP's DD didn't want to share it.

When my DD was 2.5 she was floating beside me in her rubber ring. A woman came up, lifted her out of it and said very loudly " I think someone needs to be taught to share!" as my DD sank like a stone.
