To expect my mum and mil to have botox for my wedding?

I'm having it and have offered to pay, but they are refusing and keep telling me I'm being ridiculous.

I thought it would be a nice treat for them and they would look a bit better in the photos.

My maid of honour has pissed me off too. I bought her some 'chicken fillets' because her boobs aren't big enough for the dress to look good, but she's refusing to wear them. I offered to buy her a boob job but she laughed at me, thought it might have been a nicer wedding favour than a crappy necklace she'll never wear again or something.

Anyway, I'll be seeing them all at the surprise tooth whitening party I've organised for this weekend so can try and fight it out then.

It's my day , why are they trying to wreck things for me?

If you cant afford supermodel stand-ins, jusy get pictures of beautiful people, print them out, make your guests were them as masks! the groom could be George Clooney, or whoever migh float your boat.

Dynamicnanny · 30/07/2008 13:24

Didn't realise how crowded the aisle would be - maybe no puppies or rabbits going down the aisle whatabout a puppy sat at the end of each pew?

Dynamicnanny · 30/07/2008 13:25

Vinegar that's far to faffy why not just use photo shop

BuwchBywiog · 30/07/2008 13:26

I think you should get them a face lift while you're at it [hmmm] ... next!

butwhybutwhy · 30/07/2008 13:29

God

I would love to go to a teeth whitening party.

I am sooo jealous.

Do they do veneers parties too?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 30/07/2008 13:34

Sorry and that.

It was this article that inspired me. Who is the one who wanted everyone to wear pink? (nosy) was I troll top trumped? Pah.

www.nytimes.com/2008/07/24/fashion/24skin.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=brides&st=cse&oref=slogin

Seriously though, read the article, therein lies madness.

Dynamicnanny · 30/07/2008 13:39

Do you know I can actually imagine my friend wanting a pink wedding with puppies etc

bellabelly · 30/07/2008 13:41

ROFL ROFL ROFL at the puppies.

AbbeyA · 30/07/2008 13:46

I think you need to wait at least a month to have a second troll!

woodenchair · 30/07/2008 13:46

why don't you just hire an entire wedding party from a modelling agency.

shelleylou · 30/07/2008 13:51

i cant work out if its a wedding or a petting zoo!!! soon going to end up as one

noddyholder · 30/07/2008 13:53

yeah but no but

thumbwitch · 30/07/2008 13:54

not again, funny the first time but less so this time (and much more obvious trolling, i might add!)

thumbwitch · 30/07/2008 13:56

mind you, discovering the word "aesthetician" in use in that article has made up for it!

It was supposed to be obvious. Proper trolling is no fun.

I liked that too, aesthetician, sounds almost like a real career.

Oblomov · 30/07/2008 14:13

LOL

VinegarTits · 30/07/2008 14:22

DWP made me laugh anyway, especially the 'suprise tooth whitening party' bit.

stitch · 30/07/2008 14:24

what is it with torlly type threads and weddings currently doing the rounds on mn?

Tortington · 30/07/2008 14:27

i think this is perfectly acceptable if they are a pair of ugly twats.

i do think yabu re - the bridesmaid chicken fillets. - you really shouldn't have picked a titless bridesmaid imo.

re the tooth whitening. i don't know what on earth posesses you to less ugly people come to your wedding - rod for your own back

OrmIrian · 30/07/2008 14:31

Can I be your maid of honour please?

I would love botox, boob job, tooth whitening and perhaps you could so something about the bags under my eyes too?

Thankyou.

unaccomplishedfattylegalmummy · 30/07/2008 14:52

Well if I come to your wedding will pay for my lipo??

OrmIrian · 30/07/2008 14:54

Actually forget the boob job. Mine are OK. Insignificant but that's OK by me.

popsycal · 30/07/2008 14:54

why dont you just hire body doubles foe everyone for the photos?
