To expect my mum and mil to have botox for my wedding?

I'm having it and have offered to pay, but they are refusing and keep telling me I'm being ridiculous.

I thought it would be a nice treat for them and they would look a bit better in the photos.

My maid of honour has pissed me off too. I bought her some 'chicken fillets' because her boobs aren't big enough for the dress to look good, but she's refusing to wear them. I offered to buy her a boob job but she laughed at me, thought it might have been a nicer wedding favour than a crappy necklace she'll never wear again or something.

Anyway, I'll be seeing them all at the surprise tooth whitening party I've organised for this weekend so can try and fight it out then.

It's my day , why are they trying to wreck things for me?

frankly msd I find your approach perplexing. surely if you improve everyones looks you're in danger of being outshone. any bride truly worth her salt will take active steps to make her guests (and especially the bridesmaids/maid of honour)look bloody awful. I'd take a long hard look at yourself (literally dear) and re-consider. You might find that badly fitted bras, sessions on a wrinkle-inducing sunbed and lots of yellowing caffeine are a far more appopriate approach.

We're not having doves, it's too tacky. I'm thinking about hiring some puppies to walk us down the aisle, does anyone know a good place?

kormachameleon and I are clearly on the same wave-length

Dynamicnanny · 30/07/2008 12:58

Puppies wow - have you thought about putting them in a little tote bag and carrying them down the aisle ala paris hilton and having fluffy kittens wondering down the aisle

Kassius · 30/07/2008 12:58
davidtennantsmistress · 30/07/2008 12:58

you're having a laugh arn't u?

MySpecialDay · 30/07/2008 12:58

thought about kittens but they are a bit too reckless. At least the puppies can go on diamante leads.

Dynamicnanny · 30/07/2008 13:00

True but I still think you need puppies in a little bag - what about big rabbits on leads they'd be cute

sandy4 · 30/07/2008 13:01

yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn

preggersplayspop · 30/07/2008 13:02

How about ferrets?

DeeRiguer · 30/07/2008 13:02

yanbu
but
i would just photoshop the photos after, cheaper i reckon
and botox might go wrong, oh, that would be horror..you would have to look at it all that lumpy mishaped flesh
arggghhh

MySpecialDay · 30/07/2008 13:03

Oh my god, rabbits, now that would be cute!

I have ten little girls as flower girls who will be dressed as bo peep and each have a lamb and a stick. They were a bargain, twenty quid each from our local farmer, just hope they don't grow too much before the big day.

oopsadaisyangel · 30/07/2008 13:06

Oh my god this is ridiculous now!!!

FabioThatFirggingCat · 30/07/2008 13:07

Why are you allowing your grotesque relatives to be seen in the photos? In fact, why are you allowing them to attend the wedding at all?

Have you no idea of how to have the perfect day.

FGS hire supermodels like a normal bride. Honestly, your wedding sounds like it'll be a right state unless you get your act together. You'll be telling us you didn't even hire Westminster Cathedral Choir and the Archbishop of Canterbury next.

MySpecialDay · 30/07/2008 13:08

therein lies an important lesson..read the thread before posting

kids and animals on your special day, they will ruin it! although you might want to consider swans to wlk you down the aisle, with pink bow ties.

cornsilk · 30/07/2008 13:10

This is 2nd class trolling unfortunately. Yesterdays troller set a very high standard.
Op you are not supposed to make it so obvious that you are trolling in your 1st post. Keep us guessing. This is no fun.
Tsk.

do you have a stand in incase you got spots or something on the day?
cover all bases, girlfriend, its YOUR day after all

rabbits/lambs are very last year
what about pigs? uber cute then spit roast em later (remove frilly costumes of course)!

electricbarbarella · 30/07/2008 13:14

I have to say I am worreid that not only do you have ugly relatives and friends with small boobs, but you are allowing them to come to your wedding, you should make them realse how lucky they are to have you and let them chioose dresses for the actors that will play them.
