RAIN

FFS it is JULY!!!!! So, please, who ever it is that controls the weather, would you stop picking your nose and sort it out.

I have had a duvet cover in the washing machine for a week,i have rewashed the thing twice, now i am going to have to give up and put the heating on to dry the sodding thing. My washing mountain is like Everest.

and AND i promised DD a trip to the soft play today, in fact i have to go there because i need to pay some money for her b/day party. That is a train and long walk away.............DD loathes her rain cover and screams the whole time.

bloody sodding pissed off

Move to East Anglia.
Yesterday: Sunny.
Today: Sunny.
Forecast for tomorrow and Sunday: Sunny.

LazyLinePainterJane · 11/07/2008 12:14

Well I don't tumble and once winter is over we turn off all water and heating so if it's wet, my washing doesn't get dry. We had a good day on tuesday so managed to get it all washed in advance of the day and get it dried then but it was looking like a lauderette before then!

MrsBoo · 11/07/2008 12:14

It's just as bad here in NI - school holidays last for 9 weeks, it has rained constantly for the first 2 weeks of them already, and we have no money to go away to get decent sun!

DumbledoresGirl · 11/07/2008 12:20

You have to be more devoted to the whole drying experience than I think you are being. It is a full on occupation and does not leave you space to go off to a soft play centre for the afternoon. What sort of dedication is that showing?

Despite showers every day, I got 2 loads dry yesterday and one load is currently drying now even though it was pouring with rain an hour ago. You have to get out there the minute the damp leaves the air, and watch for the next rain cloud like a hawk and get the thing in before rain falls. There is a nice little breeze blowing at the moment so most stuff does not need more than an hour to dry.

Sim43 · 11/07/2008 12:28

Christ I don't have time to sit and watch the weather, it is far to bloody quick for me. I would be, in, out, in, out all the time it really pisses me off when I fetch it in cause a few drops fall and I think it is going to chuck it down then it bloody stops and I don't know whether to hang it all out again. At the moment its kind of sunny, oh hang a minute it starting to rain, oh here comes the sun again. Its forecast rain again for tomorrow, deep joy, but it is going to be sunny on Sunday allegedly!

PinkTulips · 11/07/2008 12:32

I'm quite pleased it's raining..Dh has abandoned me with a miserable, bad tempered ds(17) who had his tonsils out last week. He has gone camping so I hope it rains extremely hard on him all weekend!
He hasn't even taken the other 2 dcs, gone with some freinds and left me with all 3.

Sim43 · 11/07/2008 13:56

Well just to cheer you all up, I have just received an email from Next telling me that my new book is on its way - for AUTUMN AND WINTER!!!!! There will be Christmas adverts on the telly before you know it! I think Summer was back in May when we had two hot days!

iBundle · 11/07/2008 16:29

theonlyfemale · 11/07/2008 16:49

sorry meant catalogue! x

MrsTittleMouse · 11/07/2008 16:53

My top tip - a dehumidifier. I have become quite evangelical about how much faster the washing dries since we got it.

I'm still gutted though about all the lovely garden toys that DD has been given by her GPs. All still in the boxes.

florenceuk · 11/07/2008 17:00

sorry I went off-topic then (well, as much as a thread started about the rain can be off topic).

bundle, I'll have to wait till mine arrives in the post (sob). Are you ibundle in anticipation of an iphone?

iBundle · 11/07/2008 17:03

i hope your posty is reliable florenceuk!

nope re: iphone...i was tinkering with name on another thread and just couldn't be bothered changing it back. I reminds me more of I, Claudius!

finally - so you can all get back to the weather (it is finally raining here) I may make some No-Tears Socks with the dpns i got at Loop...are you a sockie??

lucyellensmum · 11/07/2008 18:09

They dried - wooohoooo
