RAIN

FFS it is JULY!!!!! So, please, who ever it is that controls the weather, would you stop picking your nose and sort it out.

I have had a duvet cover in the washing machine for a week,i have rewashed the thing twice, now i am going to have to give up and put the heating on to dry the sodding thing. My washing mountain is like Everest.

and AND i promised DD a trip to the soft play today, in fact i have to go there because i need to pay some money for her b/day party. That is a train and long walk away.............DD loathes her rain cover and screams the whole time.

bloody sodding pissed off

discombobulated has to go down as my favouritest word in the world, does it have a real meaning or is it something you just made up??

Custardo, you have blown your cover my girl. HOVE! ! !

FAQ · 11/07/2008 11:20

I haven't had used a tumble dryer for about 3yrs now.

Although I will be putting the heating on later to get some stuff dried as I'm SO far behind with my laundry it's almost surreal (due to spending too much time socialising and not enough doing housework LOL)

lucyellensmum · 11/07/2008 11:21

no Custy, YOU haven't pissed all over my parade, I have just looked out of the window and the Sun has come out . I am pretty sure i can hear faint laughter in the clouds. Because now i have struggled with Evil clothes horse, somehow managing to spread kingsize duvet over it, had to get second clothes horse out, this one is just mischevious and deposits washing on the floor at random intervals, I have turned my Study into a chinese laundry and DD has a new tent

yes, pricey, esp if you reject acrylic

eandh · 11/07/2008 11:46

sunny and warm in Kent (in fact just went to post something for work and was hot with work jacket on )

Sim43 · 11/07/2008 11:50

I'm so cold I am going to have to put some socks on. Decided not to wash the bedclothes for another day or so cause of shit weather. It will probably be able to walk to the machine itself by Sunday anyway! Sod the environment, get yourself another tumble dryer. The world would be feckin full of them if men did washing!

lucyellensmum · 11/07/2008 11:54

eandh, you wont be waiting long for the rain then, cos im in kent too

OP posts:
taipo · 11/07/2008 11:57

OMG since I posted about that it was hot and sunny here, all of 20 minutes ago, the sky has darkened and I can hear a thunderstorm approaching. Devine retribution? I wasn't really gloating, honest!

themoon66 · 11/07/2008 12:00

I don't understand why putting the tumble on to dry washing is worse for the environment than putting the heating on.

taipo · 11/07/2008 12:02

Aaaargh, just looked out the window on the other side of the house. The sky is black and there is indeed a thunderstorm on it's way. Am going to turn of the puter now in case we get struck by lightening.

lucyellensmum · 11/07/2008 12:09

moon, ive often wondered myself. But the thing is, i don't want the heating on, the house will be stifling. Be interesting to know the amount of energy it takes to dry something in the dryer compared to having the heating on, probably all day, to dry it. LEM scratches head

OP posts:
eandh · 11/07/2008 12:09

Really LEM, we had a 2min shower around 8.45 and its been sunny since, just looking out of my caged with bars window in case someone wants to raid the place window and no rainclouds yet (I want it to stay dry as havent got a brolly!)

Sim43 · 11/07/2008 12:10

Feck I've been sitting here reading these and it's bloody dinnertime and I have not done a thing, must get that hoover out now!
