to think that host should have mentioned there was vodka in the pimms at a child's party

What do you all think? Went to a child's party on Sat, had what I thought were two small cups (no glasses) of pimms and felt really pissed. Wasn't a major problem, was walking home and hubby was at home so passed over childcare to him and sobered up on water. But found out today that the host had put vodka in the drink. Everyone was commenting that it was really strong, but we're all obviously useless at identifying vodka as we just thought they'd put a lot of pimms in and not so much lemonade. Can't help thinking it was a bit irresponsible though, some of the parents had just one drink thinking it was pimms and then drove home.
Is it me or would you be annoyed?

Pimms Recipes:

Traditional Pimms No.1
Take one slice of orange, lemon, apple, cucumber per person and one sprig of mint and add to two parts lemonade to one part Pimms.

Turbo Pimms No.1
As above but five parts lemonade, two parts Pimms, one part gin.

English Passion Pimms No.6
Take a shaker 2/3 full of ice and add 50ml of Pimms No.6, 25ml of Zubrowka vodka, flesh and juice of a passion fruit and a dash of sugar syrup. Shake well and strain into a tumbler full of ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint and two short straws.

Maximum Voltage Pimms No.6
Take a shaker 2/3 full of ice, 50ml of Pimms No.6, 25ml of Zubrowka vodka and 25ml of Cointreau. Shake well and strain into a highball full of ice. Fill with soda water and garnish with mint. If mixing your own Pimms sounds too much like hard work, head to one of the many pubs and bars in London which serve up Pimms with a healthy dose of fruit, ice and garnished with a sprig of mint.

I have only have served Pimms following the traditional version, which does not have any other alcohol added and I would ot wish to try it any other way. However, if there are bastardised versions of drinks around, then you are the one required to ask if the content of the drink concerns you- or just avoid home mixed drinks: I 'm always wary of any drinks which I have not either mixed myself, of witnessed being made .

btw the reference to London is only because I copied and pasted the recipes from somewhere to do with promoting London in some way.I'm sure other towns do know how to mix drinks....

I've never had pimms, is it a southern thing?
