That parents taking babies on log flume rides are a sandwich short of a picnic?

At Disneyland and the new Frozen ride has a 30ft drop. My bum lifted as we tipped over the edge. A baby went on the boat before us, I was terrified those parents would lose grip. The baby had to be placed with its back against its mother and legs under the bar, it was no older than 3 months old. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should!

Baffled that Disney allow it given that you have to remove ears and hats!

Two parents, a yoing child and the baby so parent pass could have been used.

Have been to Disney parks in the US with kids and they are so, so hot on safety. They measure children for height and err on the side of caution every time. They are so scared of getting sued if someone gets hurt.

TBF “climbed out” is quite different to falling out.

3 months! I'd be super worried about snapping their neck 😬Suprised Disney allowed it.

I just looked at the pictures - that's not a log flume ride. It's a boat ride, and a very gentle one. The inclines aren't at all steep.

Places like Disney are extremely aware of safety and, obviously, are keen to avoid being a) sued or b) associated with bad publicity. There is no way they'd allow people to take babies on the ride if it wasn't safe.

The ears/hat thing will purely be because they end up in the water if do they fall off, and people then make a fuss about wanting to get them back, and/or they get caught in the tracks under the water, which is a pain for the staff to deal with.

They went through a period where there were quite a few nasty accidents and deaths at their parks in Florida due to poor maintenance practices. Some of them really horrific. Their safety record has been very good in recent years though and I don’t think there has ever been a fatal accident involving a guest at DLP.

Apologies I completely missed it was DLP

I don't necessarily blame the parents as you'd assume disney wouldn't allow babies on if it was not safe. It doesn't sound safe to me, but if you don't know about the big drop and the park says it's allowed, I can see why you'd assume it is ok

Yes, all of them actually, but never once bought fake Mickey/Minney ears !! & even if I did they would be THE ears not MY/YOUR ears.

No they wouldn’t…you have to remove YOUR bag, YOUR coat, YOUR shoes…why would Mickey ears be THE ears 🤣 when you own them and they are yours
