Why isn't HRT and menopause a regular trending topic?

I'm about to start HRT and delved into the menopause forum to get some clarity.

It occurred to me that I haven't seen a trending thread about menopause. There are tons of numbered threads about many topics. Why isnt there one about menopause? On a website which is predominantly made of of women?

Yabu: go to the graveyard of menopause on mumsnet.
Yanbu: we need a mumsnet megathread thread for menopause and peri that trends for women in their 40s+

What is the algorithm for deciding what goes on the Trending page?

I'm personally so sick of hearing about it and it's just got to hysterical saturation point where I feel any and every ache pain mental health struggle is put down to perimenopause. On a women's facebook page I am on women as young as 30 are being told that despite having entirely normal hormone levels their symptoms (which could be part of a serious other issue) are probably peri and they should ignore their GP and try to go on HRT. It's just wild. And that's why I love coming on here where pretty much no one talks about it!

I’m also pretty sick of everything being attributed to “peri” on here.

Particularly when a husband or partner does something outrageous and an OP posts: “Is he out of order or is it peri?”

No love, its not “peri” to be upset that he slept with someone else.

I do think its important for there to be discussion and support for women going through menopause and I am gladthe taboo is fading but it seems to have become a kind of catch all reason for everything that goes wrong in a woman’s life and I am fairly pissed that its become yet another excuse to wave us off as hormonal or hysterical.

Like others have said, it really is, it seems like every 42 year old is in peri menopause.

The menopause forum is brilliant but less traffic than the busy ones like AIBU or chat. So less likely that a thread goes "viral".

The only viral menopause threads are those on AIBU when someone is moaning that every symptom in a woman aged 40 or over is menopause, or saying (wrongly) that HRT gives you cancer, or being goady and saying menopause is fake news and they "sailed through" with a bit of yoga or positive thinking.

Point taken on exploring the "active" thread and relevant board.
Was just curious that I never see a recurring thread on "trending" is all.

Sometimes it does appear to be "trending".
But, also, women have lots of other things to discuss - our whole lives don't revolve around this one subject. In fact, lots of us find it tedious in the extreme.
