I came across the image this morning and haven't been able to stop thinking about it and admiring the woman the artist created. So many powerful feelings with not enough words.... amongst them warrior, survivor, leader, brave, wise, blooded, alive....you get the meaning.

Just wanted to share with you all ❤️

Shuddering at the mawkish sentimentality. Warrior, survivor, leader, brave, wise, blooded, alive. I mean, really? Give your head a wobble, OP.

Balloonhearts · 23/10/2026 18:37

I'm pretty sure the op is AI generated too.

HeddaGarbled · 23/10/2026 18:41

There aren't many images of older women around which break the stereotypes you normally see

You don’t think that’s a stereotype?

Galexia · 23/10/2026 18:41

Is this your own AI generated artwork by any chance OP

This is what is happening to make way for AI infrastructure to create 'art' like this.

That is awful. Really shockingly bad. Sad

cardibach · 23/10/2026 18:21

It’s not an image of an older woman. It’s AI nonsense

Beat me to it

koffielepeltje · 23/10/2026 19:24

I get that it's probably AI generated.

DorsetKnobBiscuit · 23/10/2026 19:38

Is it meant to be Quentin Crisp?

WilliamTopazMcGonagallPoorPoetFromDundeeBeItTold · 23/10/2026 19:48

Stick a beret on her bonce and it's Frank Spencer joining his local am dram group!

Zov · 23/10/2026 19:57

Quentin Crisp and Frank Spencer. 😂

FabulousWealthyTart · 23/10/2026 20:00

She's probably just wondering what to cook for dinner.

AI art is stolen art.

Some actual women will have had their work plagiarised to create this fake woman that the op so admires.

11AndCounting · 23/10/2026 20:04

Cool. An AI generated image of a Game if Thrones character, I believe.

Thank you for bringing this slop to our attention.

Maisymouse2 · 23/10/2026 20:07

I do not feel the power...i find it grosse.
Imagine her on a bad day!

Waitingfordoggo · 23/10/2026 20:08

That isn’t art in my opinion.

BringBackTheLight · 23/10/2026 20:09

Don't be silly, its ai shite.

WitchesCatWhisker · 23/10/2026 20:10

naff. About as subtle as a sledgehammer.

She mentions the artist…
That aside, what do you think it portrays or represents, because I have no idea.

She hasn’t mentioned the artist?

chirrupybird · 23/10/2026 20:18

Who is it, not anyone I recognise. Just a generic person?

WhichCow · 23/10/2026 20:23

Well she's going to struggle with her arms blown up

That article doesn't say anything about how much water a single prompt/image generation uses. It's talking about the impact of datacentres as a whole. It would be like looking at how much water a dairy farm uses in an entire year and then suggesting someone is wasting that amount of water when they eat one piece of cheese.

Your estimate is vastly vastly off. I won't say AI has no environmental impact as it clearly has, but single prompts are thought to use more like in the region of 25ml. You'll get varying estimates based on what someone is using as their definition of a "prompt" and I couldn't tell TBH whether this study was looking at one text input or a full conversation, but even if you assume one line of text plus took the most extreme suggestion that image generation can use "up to 1000x more" that would still be 25L water. A couple of buckets' worth, not a couple of swimming pools.

Yes we should talk about the environmental impact of AI but let's keep it in perspective.

Gingernaut · 23/10/2026 20:13

Not per prompt! A single prompt uses about 25ml of water. Using the internet full stop uses water.

Looks like an effeminate Tony Blair in a knight’s armour?
