“Ticket availability for The Bayeux Tapestry between January and March 2027 is now limited, and tickets may have sold out when you reach the front of the queue. If you miss out, don’t worry, there will be further ticket releases – bookings for April to July 2027 will open in early 2027.”

Rinse lather repeat…

If you miss out, don’t worry…

No doubt it’ll be the same story when the next and last batch of tickets will be released in January.

I was in the queue hours before they went on sale, today and last time. No doubt it’ll be the same story next time.

Anyone here been lucky…….. is there a secret knack?

I have them but I logged on a minute before 10. Or perhaps my time was out and it was exactly just 10.

Someone gave me a link to what I think are return tickets, seems legit. Only 3 dates in two weeks and only between 9 and 10am. I’ve managed to bag a few tickets - confirmation email came from British Museum’s normal email. Unless someone has heard of a scam…? Anyway if anyone very desperate, and can spare the cash in case it’s a scam, I can PM the link.

I've seen it twice, in Bayeux. I spent a fair bit longer than 45 minutes looking at it, and there weren't any crowds to speak of. I may see it again one day, but not in London any time soon!

Wait until it returns to France. We went years ago, no crowds and not expensive. Take the ferry to Caen, visit bayeux (the town), the British war cemetery is beautiful, the remodelled museum, then go into Caen its self where there’s an excellent museum. Brilliant for older primary aged and up for a short break. Normandy food is excellent and one trip a found a small chateau doing b&b, if you’re on two wheels (self powered or motorbike) there’s also a great British owned b&b in arromarches with lockable garage facilities and a small tank in the yard!.
