Would you consider this a waste of life?

i work part time around the Dc, I also do majority around the house, food shop, bills, organisation of everything...

This morning, I dropped Dc at school, small food shop, walked Ddog, washing, picked up poo in the garden, washed up, tidied bedrooms. I was done by 10.30 and am now watching 90 day fiancee with nachos and will watch more shows Ive been looking forward to until 3, when i'll do school pick up, drop to piano lessons, dinner, washing up, homework help etc

Would you consider this a waste of life amd lazy?
Or justified and ok?

I think day time TV is a bit grim unless you're really ill?

Most probably watch something like a series on a streaming channel though

I'd consider it good time management and self care. You're the boss of you. Everything is getting done, you set your own timetable. 👏

So he should work a full time job and do half of the house and kids stuff, whilst op doesn't work and just does half the house and kids stuff?

I didn't say half, did I?

But the OP shouldn't be doing the majority and 'organising everything'.

Not to mention the fact the OP could probably work more hours if he chipped in more.

Tell me you are jealous without telling me that you’re jealous 🤣

Honestly not. I would happily potter in the garden, do a pilates class, read a book, have a bath, bake something, see someone / call someone but I would feel a bit grubby sat of the sofa watching the telly at 11am! Just me I guess! I wasn't brought up with the tv on in the daytime so I just wouldn't do it... my kids don't either.

I’d question why you need validation from a bunch of strangers on the internet. You do you.

I agree. I also think it's grim at any time.

I think it's something you and husband/ partner need to discuss. If you can afford the lifestyle, I'm sure a lot of women would be jealous. Some bored too. Not up to us to decide.

Occasionally, why not?

If every day were like this I'd wonder how socially fulfilling this would be

And unless you're differently-abled I'd also be thinking about proper exercise outwith the odd dog walk

And lastly are you financially wealthy in your own right or are you sitting around watching tv & eating snacks whilst someone else is footing the bill

Wildgoat · Yesterday 17:08

Are you bored? I’d be bored shitless, but if you’re not then that’s fine, we all should live our lives in a way that makes us happy

Why, she sits on her arse watching tv and eating treats for much of the day abs she didn’t say she wants to work more.

Preferable to being in an office 8 hrs a day!

Sure, for some yes, and that’s fine, right,

You’re allowed downtime @Eatingdinneronacoffeetable, don’t shame yourself for it. You don’t always have to be on it and a bit of escapism with tasty snacks, with your feet up, may be just what you need to reset xx
