Scented period products are vile

I can smell the artificial stink before getting close to them in the aisle.

Tesco own brand and Bodyform are the only ones that do the job well and aren’t scented.

I wonder how many women were overruled during that decision making process? Does anyone actually like them??

YANBU - Hellish creations
YABU - I love them

I’ve been under the weather & had my period, the only big pads I could find were scented ones. JFC they stink & made me gag. Why have they done this?!

Yes!! They make me gag too.

The fake scent mixed with the blood is absolutely disgusting.

If you don’t like scented products - don’t buy them .

it’s really not that deep !

A simple google would show this is a huge issue which has been discussed millions of times here and elsewhere. There are even medical reports to support.

it is getting harder and harder to get unscented. And not just a case of don’t like!

Someone better than me can possibly link but I am fairly sure there was a campaign on Mumsnet when they first started this and it was ignored.

Op is right. Who is making this stuff and why as the standard option when the majority hate them.

Except I couldn’t find any unscented recently & why is the scent of chemicals?

They don't bother me at all. I usually buy Always or Bodyform, not bothered which, fragranced or not isn't a deciding factor. I don't particularly notice the perfume and I don't get thrush.

Yes I think this too. Periods dont smell so theres no need for scented products.

Always Flex and Lil-lets pads are unscented. I’ve often wondered who buys the scented ones, but clearly some do. I can’t understand what smell they’re trying to cover up! There are always threads on here with posters saying they only shower every few days so perhaps that’s the answer.
