Panic buying next week?

Ok very random but I work in retail and we’ve been told to expect panic buying/shortages on fuel next week due to something big happening. Am I really naive as when I was told this I have no idea what it is about? I do read the news in the morning but I haven’t seen anything that would relate to this?

Not quite the same conversation, but is anyone else concerned with what is happening in Russia at the moment do I owe the OP an apology?

It's certainly quite strange and they are being very cagey. Claiming it was pneumonia but then locking down the lab and hospital. I really hope its nothing and blows over.

What? People who are paid monthly are paid all over the month, inflation the majority are paid towards the end of the month

I don't want to go down the conspiracy route because I don't have the time or the energy but someone commented that it was around this sort of time in 2019 that the thing happened and I got a slight flash of panic.
Not taking it seriously, but I will keep an eye on any patterns.

The problem is when fuel and especially diesel prices go up food prices go up because it impacts the lorries transporting the food. I'm very very thankful I got an electric car last November.
