They are utter cowards and hypocritical. The same ilk will state they're against the burkha and protests by environmental groups etc. but are happy to mask their faces in 'protest' the reality is they're just nasty specimens of humanity, full of people with self righteous white supremacy tendencies. AIBU.

If the hard right party wins control of Germany it will be the first time since WW2. We can all see the direction of travel.

There are many things I don't get about the AfD, but perhaps the biggest is that their leader is a gay woman. Honestly if they get into power how long would it be before she was out the door. Like Zia Yusuf here, I honestly don't get how people from persecuted minorities think that they'll be safe from the Fascists by being senior in their parties.

Our human rights do not come from the ECHR ultimately. They come from laws made by the UK parliament. As mentioned, international law is an illusion.

The only people it's not an illusion for are the very people we don't want to be seeking redress!

Yusuf is not a fascist he's a realist. He can also out debate many who have tried to take him on.

The man is an out and out racist. His tweet the other day about the Labour candidate being born abroad was clear as day racism. And I'm like 'Mate! Not only is it racist, but all the racists it appeals to also hate you!'

Everyone who doesn't agree with your party line is a racist and/or fascist. It's boring now.

That's not what I said. I said that he is racist because what he tweeted was racist.

i think Putin is waiting until Europe is in the grip of a civil war over this issue and then he will act. We are playing straight into his hands.

Its obviously unreasonably to smear a group of people whom you dont know, the comparison with the KKK is particularly obscene. Where do you get off with that?

What connection a protest over ongoing state failures has with a racist supremacist group, I don't know?

I do not particularly like masks myself, its not very british, but masked faces are something introduced to Britain by far left thugs and misogynist alien cultures. In the climate of 2 tier policing, who can blame others for adopting it?

If the state wont police the borders properly, then let the people do it.

The situation of toleration of 10s of 1000s of unvetted, anonymous migrant men coming here every year is a political choice. But its not something people ever voted for, so this outcome is wholly predictable.

“Let the people do it”. What? Summary justice for anyone any random balaclaved thug doesn’t like the look of? That’s not the way we do things here in Britain. If you don’t like living with our laws then leave. I’ve heard St Petersburg is nice this time of year.

The government being unable to solve an extremely difficult problem (despite reducing it by 40%) does not make it wholly predictable that a group of balaclava clad vigilantes take to the streets with no actual practical solutions other than to shout 'stop the boats' as if the government hadn't perhaps already thought of that.

LOL, he is one or two power station/oil refinery direct hits away from civil disorder in his own country.

Apparently 140-160 people were picked up on a super sized dinghy today after they were picked up in the English Channel and brought into Portsmouth. Which kind of ruins the lates government data after reporting no landings for a week..

It’ll probably cause them enough issues to bail out. There are things that can happen but Labour won’t do it.

I think the suspicion is, due to the PLP and Andy Burnham's natural inclination, that the will to really do the necessary to actually stop the boats isn't really there. Hence why parties with a clear plan (unlike Starmer's vague "smash the gangs") are gaining in popularity, which is reflected across the EU too. Successive governments have been a bit pathetic about the whole issue although they of course talk the talk no end, so people are looking for harder line alternatives who may actually take the necessary steps.

Its not an extremely difficult problem at all.

Countries in eastern europe - poland, hungary etc - manage very well at keeping these chaps out. Accordingly their towns and cities are much safer for women and girls.

Stop giving them free money, phones, accomodation etc and they will stop coming.

Or see how Australia stopped its problems with boat people - by ramming their boats back into neutral waters, repeatedly, until they get the message that they are not wanted. Or if they managed to land in Oz, forcibly putting them on a boat straight back.

Edit - we could keep out nazi germany, but we cant keep out a bunch of illiterate tribesmen from the 3rd world? Difficult problem? Dont make me laugh!

Yes it can be done. It’s just not within Labour’s remit.

Well to prevent a conflict of laws. If we want to stay in the ECHR we have to abide by its requirements. If we want to diverge from the ECHR, which many do in order to control illegal immigration, we need to leave it. We can keep the bits of the Human Rights Act (which brings the ECHR into domestic law ) that we like and lose the rest.

International law is an illusion in that it isn't really "law" in that it is directly enforceable in UK courts without Uk legislation. (EU law by contrast did have that direct effect). Its just a convention and countries chose to follow it or not. You cant force another country to follow International law unless you are stronger than it either economically or militarily. So gor example no country currently can force the US to follow any International law. No.military is stronger and its economy could probably withstand sanctions.

No idea why anyone would want to come to the UK anymore anyway.. It's a hostile environment for everyone.

Every demonstration that has happened in the last few years everyone has had their faces covered.

Thankfully our country is still a democratic society where within the law, freedom of speech is acceptable.

There are plenty of countries around the world where freedom of speech is not allowed, women rights are non existent, and people are dictated too how they choose to live their lives.

whatever yours or my opinion of these demos, we do have the freedom to protest - be very careful siding with people who want to erode peoples rights

Every demonstration that has happened in the last few years everyone has had their faces covered.

Which demonstrations?

List them please.
