Masked men at Dover - KKK vibes

They are utter cowards and hypocritical. The same ilk will state they're against the burkha and protests by environmental groups etc. but are happy to mask their faces in 'protest' the reality is they're just nasty specimens of humanity, full of people with self righteous white supremacy tendencies. AIBU.

You seem to think it means you're being told to get to the bottom of a pile.

Well I would if I were a white man.

Black is quite slimming. I presume it was that?

Good to see you're seeing the funny side. Just don't tell the mortified OP.

That's a silly comparison. Different situation entirely.

As reported everywhere it was an entirely peaceful protest - whether you agree with the protest or not doesn't change that.

No arrests when crimes are being committed isn't the same as no arrests being made because no one did anything to be arrested for. Surely you wouldn't advocate for arrests simply because you disagree with the premise of the protest or "don't want to see a repeat of it"?

Of course it’s a different situation, and I’m not saying there were reasons to arrest anyone in Dover, only that I wouldn’t be using ‘arrests’ as a way to either defend or deplore any protest. It’s complicated, and a planned protest is much better resourced with police, and they’re more alert. Famously, plenty of entirely peaceful protesters have been arrested on larger planned protests.

David Amess anyone? Ann Widdecombe anyone? Jews targeted anyone?
Manchester arena? Shall we all just list deaths and atrocities or agree that anyone can be a target nowadays and what we do not want is hundreds of undocumented potentially dangerous men entering the country illegally every day to increase that risk.

Interestingly a lot of the attacks on Jews has been by Muslims recently in the UK.

Why? It honestly baffles me.
Your seeing of people at tops and bottoms of "piles" that is.
We're all just people.

LuckyHazelFox · Yesterday 20:32

Do you know the reason for their attire?

To intimidate.

83% of the population is white. The Prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the literal King are all white. Pretty odd pile.

The only experience I have with violent masked men are Antifa (in this case, intimidating women), are they KKK?

So now per capita is relevant. Well that's a first.

They probably couldn’t afford matching stone island

They didn't need room for sledgehammers.

Exactly
How exactly are they being "pushed to the bottom of the pile?" Just because you see people in power who aren't white too. Doesn't mean they're "getting pushed out." 🙄

Here’s the best evidence that’s ’out there’ . ONS data on characteristics of victims.

Black and Mixed-ethnicity adults had significantly higher overall sexual-assault victimisation than White, Asian or Other adults. Narrowing the focus on rape specifically, there is no statistically significant difference between ethnicities.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/articles/sexualoffencesvictimcharacteristicsenglandandwales/march2020/pdf

The report you shared is victim demographics of sexual crimes in general including where the perpetrator is a partner / ex. The previous poster was talking about victim demographics of sexual crimes by asylum seekers

Stereotyping white men and reducing their value is often seen played out on this forum.

Along with 78% of FTSE 100 CEOs, around 55-60% of MPs, and about 90% of managers in top flight English men’s football (despite high % of black players).

Poor white men are struggling, but it’s not because of poor black and brown men.

Just because many people think that the small boats issue is a national security threat warranting a change in military strategy, that doesn't make it so. The government probably thinks that the military is better utilised defending the country doing what it's already doing.

I'm pretty sure that the government does have the intention to do something about it. Apart from anything else it would be extremely good for them politically. And they have reduced small boat crossings by 40% this year to prove it. But it is extremely hard to eradicate this issue. So far the best ideas we have jointly come up with over and above doing what the government is already doing are a) do something undefined with the military and b) build a giant net.

You have better faith that we have a functioning government than many people. Let's wait and see what happens and fingers crossed Andy Burnham will stop the boats really quickly. And if he doesnt and he still doesn't use the military we can probably assume he won't stop the boats at all and we will need a new PM. Again.

Yes, their attire is definitely more George than Stone Island. Does ASDA do balaclavas?

If people think that a) stopping the boats is possible by 'using the military' in some undefined way and that b) stopping the boats will make any difference at all to anyone's every day life, I despair.

This includes all victim scenarios yes. There’s no published or large scale data that shows white women and girls are being targeted by asylum seeking men that I can see.

I always wonder if people who wear balaclavas get a lot of spots, as I doubt they wash them between each wear. I see Nottingham is going to be banning them in certain areas.

Perhaps they can take fashion tips from the Black panthers and dress up as the military. That didn't seem to be a problem. They missed a trick there.

If you’re so unhappy about this country, then others are available? No-one is forcing you to stay somewhere you clearly despise.
