I hate the dull weather and miss the sun…I am probably unreasonable

I am in north west England and have been loving the heat and sun. Yes, we needed rain but why not a day or 2 of rain and then back to sunshine?, and repeat until the end of September. I don’t even need it that hot - 22 degrees would be fine. But last night and today, it’s back to the grey sky we have for 75% of the year.

Last night I shut our blinds about 8 as it was so grey, and I instantly felt oppressively sad. I have SAD and dread the end of summer. And autumn inevitably brings grey skies and rain here, setting off my asthma.

Anyway, am I being completely unreasonable to areas the return of grey skies?

I feel a bit sad to see it cooling down, although it's still quite pleasant where I am. I'm not sure how much longer it will last.

DH reminded me that for the first part of the year we lived in one big, rainy cloud for months which was so miserable. It's only mid-August and there is much more camping, sea swimming and beaching to be had!

I love the summer.

but some of the heat this year has been too much for me. And the lack of rain has really hit my garden.

i’m in Lancashire visiting family and it rained last night and I nearly danced in it!
