Is there signage to say its adult only? Could it be that different tour operators market it as a 'quiet pool' or 'relaxation pool'? I'm clutching at straws here....

Well, it’s the school holidays so…..?

What has that got to do with it? Do parents lose the ability to parent in holidays?

Yes, the wording “adult pool to relax in” notably does not say “adult only”. I wonder if it’s a fudge, they’re calling it an adult pool but they simply mean it’s deeper and doesn’t have little kid “stuff” (mini slides, fountains etc) rather than that children are actually not allowed. Kind of like saying “a toddler playground and an older children’s playground” but no one thinks someone will come round telling a 4 year old to get off the big slide.
Would be shitty of them if they’ve advertised it like that though.

This is very possible. While looking for hotels earlier this year we noticed this subtle difference in wording. It’s quite misleading

A quick google suggests that adult and child pools have to be risk-evaluated in completely different ways in Ibiza/Spain. Depth, water re-circulation, rake, fencing - all different requirements.

They should be keeping a Plan de Autocontrol setting all this down. So if they are allowing kids into a pool without a fence and gates, and deeper than 60cm for under- 6yolds, they would seem to be breaking regulations if they are risk-evaluating and recording the adult pool as … an adult pool

And invalidating their insurances
