To think that DP blanking me everytime I am upset is not normal

Longtime lurker, first time I've felt compelled to post. As the title says, everytime I try to raise an issue with DP in a calm manner and talk things over he will make comments which he knows will upset me. Once I am then upset he will blank me for long periods of time. He will hide away usually in the spare room, whilst I, the one who is upset has to carry on as normal with the children/house alone. This happens even when his actions have been wrong (staying out all night) if I get upset on his return, again blanked. I'm not sure what I am hoping for from this post but I'm not sure where to go from here

What does he do when he stays out all night? Sounds like a cheat to me

@ThisNimbleEagle clearly doesn’t want to discuss this as rather skates over

My ex did this to me, ive since read up.on 'stonewalling' - its basically a technique to avoid any accountability on their side. Gaslighting was also part of it - days later when he started talking to me again he would claim i was 'misremembering' and/or 'hysterical'. While in the relationship I genuinely thought I was the problem. Now I am out of it and after counselling I can see it so much more clearly.

Healthy communication is the key to a good relationship. If he cant/wont do it, and is unwilling to work on it then walk away. It will end up testing your sanity in ways you cannot comprehend
