Should personalised Christmas stockings be M & D for mummy and daddy, or their actual initials?

DH thinks actual initials of our names.

Kids are aged 1 and 4!

Surely about two years old.

Even if you call each other mum and dad in front of the kids, they should learn that your real names are “Julia” and “Tom” even if you tend to call each other things like “babe”

Father Christmas didn’t do the stockings in our house, every family has their own way

I did our own initials when I sewed ours, though my husband’s is D anyway!

If it was initials I’d do our names, if it was names I’d do mum and dad.

Me too, I hung ours above rhe fire, was lovely, with mum and dad. But I’d not do m and d. that’s weird,

Names. My XH used to call me 'mum' all the time and it drove me up the wall. I used to say 'I have a NAME, you know,' through very gritted teeth.

Actual name initials. Not M & D. I wouldn't be averse actual "Mum" and "Dad" or whatever though.

I’m actually genuinely envious that people have time to think about stuff like this. At any point in the year but in August???
