Get a bird. It'll eat the spider. If course then you'll have to get a cat to stop the bird landing on you, then a dog to stop the cat, then a cow...

Why did you go from dog directly to a cow?
Surely that's a bit extreme?

Troll thread. Everyone knows spiders cannot crawl on sheets, they are physically unable to. Mum told me that when I was 6 FGS!

OriginalSkang · 07/07/2026 16:43

I was laying in bed with nothing on recently and no covers because its so hot. In the dark, I felt something on my side and brushed it with my hand thinking it was a hair the fan had swept on to me. When I brought my hand back up to my phone there was a big spider on it 😞After squawking and brushing it off it completely disappeared, I couldn't find it anywhere. Its lurking in my bedroom somewhere waiting to strike again

Put a saucer of vinegar in your bedroom.

Tortephant · 07/07/2026 17:35

Olive oil soap under your pillow

Tekknonan · 07/07/2026 17:49

Put up a notice.

Free range gecko. Upside- gecko eats spiders. Downside- gecko crawling on you while you sleep.

No, I think it will work. I have a resident lizard, who appeared this year in my Greek holiday home (in kitchen). For the first time, I have had no spiders indoors and he hasn't shown the slightest desire to walk over my face.

Nah, after cow comes horse. The old woman is dead of course.

StickyPits · 07/07/2026 18:13

I’d be never sleeping again 😩

Take a guess what I've been humming and singing to my dc since I read your post. One guess.

Thank you all so much for the replies to this. It has really made me laugh, Especially the willy wiping and the swallowing of the cat! 😂

Ha ha, the OP’s face spider was trying to get itself swallowed. She must have swallowed a fly, although I don’t know why. 😂

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly!
A goat is an interim option prior to a cow.

Spray a bit of insect repellant on yourself.

There are spider deterrant sprays, you could spray that around your bed. There are also plug in things that deter insects.
