Took my dd to a party and I’d forgotten to reply to the invite

I feel awful! Only realised when she clearly had an emergency party bag ……. I want to cry 😭

I verbally accepted a party invite once and when I turned up they were all eating, the mum had forgotten I’d accepted and set up a what’s app group and changed the time of the party.

I’ve turned up at a joint party and bought both kids presents only to discover one of the kids isn’t at the same school let alone the same class.

And…. I always always do prepare for a few extra, just in case. Kids parties are really not something to stress about for anyone and if they are then we’re getting it wrong somewhere!

I took my DD to a party a week early. To make it worse it was a dress up party so they randomly opened their door to a dinosaur princess. Then I had to return again the following week for the real party.

Styled it out and left promptly at the finish, shall I text apologising?

Yes - that would be nice. I'd definitely appreciate it, especially since they did accommodate your daughter and gave her a party bag!

I turned up at court a YEAR early, as a witness. I had wondered where all the support they had mentioned was.

When the actual court date came around, the defendant pleaded guilty in advance, so I didn’t need to go after all.
