I read this and genuinely wondered if it was a parody.

The objection to Richard Ayoade seems particularly tenuous.

I do find it bizarre Lucas has not been taken to task over his transphobia and blackface.
Ayoade supporting his friend in a Freedom of Speech issue is not the same thing at all.

Lucas has been a trans activist

I am not sure if I would say well meaning, but I will meet you halfway and agree they don't understand what they are chanting.
