I haven't read Metro for years - the newspaper is aimed at commuters but the website seems to be aimed at Rik from the Young Ones style teenagers.

I do find it bizarre Lucas has not been taken to task over his transphobia and blackface.

The seriousness, intensity and black and white 'good' and 'bad' list thinking in that article is amazing.

It just wasn't funny imo, but it does seem odd that so many are cancelled for minor slips of the tongue and Matt is presenting Bake off after wearing black face and doing a sissy impression of a cross dresser for laughs.

I would watch Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade's last 10 mins on last laughing for ever on a loop thou 😂

Metro likes to be very ‘progressive’ and right on, so it’s no surprise that cancel culture article has been published.

She also must have missed Matt Lucas being harassed by Palestinian protestors. Seems some hurty words are more hurty than others.
