Top 3 posts that you will click into…
Mine:

  1. Missing partner - said partner hasn’t come home from the work night out etc
  2. Should I go to A&E - pile on from all the armchair medics
  3. Mounjaro - the teeny tiny fighting for their life against the cheeky fatties who are cheating the weight loss game

Lighthearted and genuinely interested in what others like!

Where someone's kid has left something in a now far away city and a local MNer comes to the rescue

New kitten threads with lots of cat tax (photos) paid

And in days of old the brilliant poems and messages for cards MNers would come out with

Cat tax, 💯 here for that

Anyone in HR?

I’m not, I mostly WFH for a great company with lovely colleagues so read these to replace the workplace drama I miss out on IRL

This made me laugh as I’m HR but don’t participate in those

I love the parking and neighbour ones. Will always read a CF one and those where the OP is pissed off and giving real-time updates about her DP/DH still being on a night out. They're mostly sad but also fascinating. I don't understand why on earth some of the posters put up with these vile men pissing and vomiting all over the house. It is grim.

Love a nostalgia and fave food thread too but the one I really enjoyed at the time was EKL 🥰

relaxitsok · 14/06/2026 20:54

I love love love a live labour thread! Haven’t seen one for ages. Also a let’s laugh at our PFBness thread. That classic one where the mum knew the rule that baby should wear one more layer, so when she went out she just took off a layer to be compliant. Adorable and so funny that we all get a bit deranged with love for wee people.

Most hated are people asking to comment on ‘line progression’. I know that they come from an anxious place and not wishing to denigrate the feelings at all, but the idea that line progression is a thing that should be tracked - all kinds of crazy.

I also love to click the hyper competitive cleanliness/disgust threads, whilst winding myself up with what I read!!

Oh I love these ones too 😬. Particularly one that lets me pontificate about statistical risk and the like. That’s a bit weird now I write it down…

This one. I often think of it. It was just so lovely 😍

Another one was the person who's neighbour had created a door into her outside space.

Omg that was a fantastic read, my first time seeing this

Personal hygiene queries
I also really enjoy the made up threads. I love to see whether op sticks or twists when their story starts to unravel

I think one of my favourite quotes of all time was on a personal hygiene thread. A heated debate about fanny washing which produced the classic words…

I don’t jet wash the fucker! 🤣

Mymanyellow · 14/06/2026 21:20

How often do you wash your bedding/towels.
Rightmove links
parking, husband isn’t home yet.

B1anche · 14/06/2026 21:29

Oh yes, I love CFs (especially one-sided car sharing), parking, neighbour disputes. Also holidays with extended families and who should be allocated what bedroom - anyone remember the one where OP wanted a bedroom kept empty just in case?

There was also a brilliant thread earlier this year on bad behaviour at weddings. It was a real eye-opener and I was gripped!

I steer clear of inheritance threads as it's an area I advise on in real life. I can't stand all the inaccurate advice that is dished out as if it is fact!

susiedaisy1912 · 14/06/2026 21:32

To split the bill equally or only pay for what you ate.

how often do you shower.

how often do you change your bedding.

do you think this is enough food for x amount of people

to think one large pizza is enough for 4 adults

There was an epic thread a couple of weeks ago with a poster hosting a family event with a couple of quiches for around 20 guests, MN at its best

I’ve just commented on a hygiene thread, absolutely love them also

Another one for parking dramas and bill splitting CFs

NotAWurstToIt · 14/06/2026 21:55

I love the really odd ones:
Weirdest thing on a CV, found in a newly purchased house etc.
Style my room (I’m just nosey!)
Why isn’t my house selling? (Remember the recent one where the poster had absolutely decimated a mid-century modern bungalow?!)

Sad ones as PP said where the poster is in a terrible home situation and either realises but won’t/can’t leave or just can’t see it - they’re heart breaking and a hard read at times.

I’ve just spent an enjoyable 30 minutes re-reading this one. I remember it the first time and it’s as heartwarming the second time around. I also loved the bonus update from OP 8 years on. It’s definitely up there with my all time faves alongside Mexican house thief.

CaseClosedWineOpened · 14/06/2026 21:58

There was one a while ago where a lady’s son left his bag on a train and everyone jumped in to try to locate it - including people who volunteered to go to the final destination of the train miles away from the OP to try to find it. That sort of thing restores faith in humanity.
