Hands down the best salad ever ever ever??
I am so addicted…the sauce, the CHEESE, the croutons…it’s so good!

I like a tuna mayo salad and Greek salad, but Cesar salad is the Goat

The real, traditional. Caesar salad contained Worcestershire sauce which contains anchovies 😉 adding whole fish is a bit modern twist now.

No anchovies for me, but I’ll have some super crispy, air fried bacon scattered over the top….nothing but class in our house 😃

but I agree that the Caesar is one of my favourite salads. Along with chicken bacon and avocado and a tuna nicoise. Yum 😋

Very nice but I like a Vietnamese salad- nutty, spicy, limey.

I remember my first ever Caesar Salad - 30 years ago at a food market in Canada (I was on a work trip, none of us had ever had it). To this day it remains THE BEST ONE EVER although I’ve had some lovely ones since. I’ve made my own dressing sometimes too and, OMG, it’s delicious.

Nicoise is my second favourite.

Nicoise salad or Lyonnaise salad (curly lettuce, bacon, poached egg, garlic,croutons, melting goat's cheeseand a lovely vinaigrette!)
Caesar is nice too...And so is a Greek one.

How do you make these please? Dunk in olive oil before airfrying?

Not dunk, you dont want them saturated. Just toss in a bowl while drizzling it over.

No anchovies here, or croutons (wheat intolerance) - I add cashews instead. I usually have it without meat, but it can be good with salmon. 😋

I had one with cold roasted salmon in a Fuller's Pub down south, and it was a game changer.

The fat white anchovies!!!! ALWAYS!! For the love of all that is holy, NEVER, EVER those evil bony brown shrivelled up salty miserable excuses for fish. They are alright ground up and used sparingly into a caesar dressing, but NEVER on top of a caesar salad .

Sigh. Caesar sauce from a bottle? No anchovies? WTAF…

I love, love, LOVE a proper Caesar salad. However, there are many other absolutely delicious salads. Salad Nicoise has been mentioned. Then there’s Tabbouleh, Fatoush, Greek salad, Asian seafood salad…….. and many more.

The thing about salads is the variety. Pretty much anything can be turned into a salad. I love massive salads!!!

I love a Caesar salad with chicken and anchovies. I don’t mind bacon or ham either.
I will not stand for the horror of finding an egg in it though 😤

The ‘real’ Caesar salad only had anchovies in the Worcestershire sauce used to make the dressing in the original recipe, no anchovies other than that.

i don’t mind the anchovies which are sometimes included in the dressing in the more modern version, but I definitely don’t want them draped across the salad.

I also like a salmon fillet on it instead of chicken

Op they have a new ceasar salad dip in m&s. It's my new favourite thing. Delish.
