This is at least the second time that it has happened. My GP is very kind that they give me 6 pills very much every now and then that I use when to relax as a “one off “. They’re great, and genuinely maybe I’ve taken like 12 pills in my entire life.

anyway I’ve just discovered my husband took my whole stash at some point because of “hip pain”. The irony is don’t even work for him!!!! I’m furious!!

Well my GP must be unusual because l was prescribed them in a similar way. And do you know what an addict is ? Because being prescribed six tablets four times in eight years isn’t it.

I know excatly what an addict is thanks and the language used is exactly how addicts speak - as is stealing your wifes supply,

You said they both sounded like addicts. In what world does six pills every couple of years mean you’re addicted ?

Keep your special drugs locked away and hidden somewhere. In your locked car is a good place for example. How could you leave controlled drugs around for a "former" user to snaffle anyway?

Or switch them for laxatives😂

The same for my GP.

yea so I’ve been given 4 prescriptions. One got stolen I used two, this one got stolen.

Half your meds have been stolen and you haven't reported. Your household sounds too high risk for your GP to be prescribing benzos.

Is it possible your husband sold them?

I'm very surprised your GP is prescribing benzos for you at all. Here they are rarely used even as a rescue med anymore. Even psychiatrists experienced in medication management and familiar with addiction are reluctant to prescribe them.

From personal experience if you live with someone who experiments with their own pain treatment because they can't/won't go to the doctors about their own issues, they will always think they know better and use their issues to make you think they are a victim in order to score easy drugs.

Their arrogance is astounding and they think they know better than medical professionals.

In my case, my ex went to uni to study pharmaceuticals so really did think he knew everything and he turned out to be a nasty abusive piece of shit once I no longer had anything for him to experiment with.

Don't wait to see if he gets like that. He will always be an addict and if he isn't getting the stuff he wants from you he'll find a way to get it from someone else and you don't want to be a part of that, trust me.

I’ve made it clear that to me , it’s almost a medical
drug, and I need it very much every now and then, but when I need it, I need it, and most importantly I use it responsibly.

'almost a medical drug'??

Say what now? We are talking about benzodiazepines, right? Not Kalms?
