Such a big ugly mug but with potential, bit like me really. All suggestions welcome. I have enemies if it helps

My teenage son bought one, he adores it!

Dirty DIY jobs, eg washing paintbrushes out.

ToadRage · 06/05/2026 14:28

Pen holder, small plant pot, rainy day fund or spare change pot, random small item pot we use for hair clips/bands, paper clips, staples, small batteries, pins, buttons, broken keyring etc.

Autumngirl5 · 06/05/2026 14:28

Smash it up and use it as crocks at the bottom of a plant pot.

It's my Saturday/Sunday first morning tea mug, when I have the time to sit and take my time drinking it leisurely. They sent me it free when I bought something and it's my favourite mug ever for the weekend.

girliepop · 06/05/2026 18:28

Thanks all for your great suggestions. Good to see that they are used by many for some sort of purpose rather than sent to landfill. I think the winning suggestion is using it as a serving dish as you can firmly attach hand to handle and maintain ownership of treats from others

Flooding your neighbours garden or a pond I believe. Otherwise bottom of a plant pot

CloudyBayPlease · 06/05/2026 18:31

Smash it and use the broken bits in the bottom of plant pots.

Or just put the ugly fucker in the bin.

No idea. Got a couple of them in the cupboard but will probably bin them when we declutter before our next house move. I agree they are far too big.

darksideofthetoon · 06/05/2026 18:48

I sold one of these monstrosities on EBay, albeit new in a box, for a fiver. It sold within 2 days of me listing it so there’s people out there who like these things.

Anna20MFG · 06/05/2026 18:53

I use it for soup or a big vat of herbal tea.
